Help me understand.

Criticising something makes you phobic of it?
No.

But it's not criticism when you're floating some nonsense about muslims waiting for a precise moment to strike, or posting some rubbish about losing your country to islam. That's hateful ignorance.

Anyway, morons are free to say it, everyone else if free to call these morons out for the nonsense they dribble.

That's probably up for debate....But if you can't see that as a clear example of misogyny, then obviously we disagree on the meaning of the concept.
Misogyny = hatred of women. Women being prosecuted for adultery after getting raped. Or having acid thrown in their faces after rejecting a scumbag. Closer to home, women being beaten to death. Bogans requesting toplessness is crass, nothing more.

You think that crassness stops at that? It doesnt.

Crassness can lead to misogyny/misandry but there is still a distinction between them. Trump was crass with his remarks 10 years ago, women (rarely) may be crass by asking a guy to get his package out, but obviously it's more often men who are crass.

Example of misandry - could be a troll but she seems serious:

Footnote to the billboard story. The picture on the billboard (zoomed back) was this:

a1043cfd6f74e80d70e5b4ca93c660cd

It was taken at Australia day last year.

“Those hijabs are offensive to me because of what they stand for.”

“They deserve abuse & threats,” wrote another.

“I hope it was directed at the incompetent idiot scum bag who designed this absolute lie and insult to real Australian’s (sic).”

“Good, should have never been put up there in the first place, it doesn’t represent Australia Day or Australia in the slightest. In a way it was advertising a religion and religion has nothing to do with Australia Day,” said another commenter.

This is what we've become eh?

The picture is contrary to our liberal Australian values, as it shows the forced subjugation of pre-pubescent girls via a tool of oppression. The image is being used to condition Australians into accepting Shariah law.

So... is it your position that we should never publicly show or depcit a person of the Islamic faith? Should we bar them from the telly as well?

What other steps should we take to exclude Muslims from participation in ordinary society? And how does that encourage assimilation, or deter enclaves forming?

Muslims have as much right to be featured on a billboard as do Jews, Christians or Athiests. Thats what liberal values are you clown.

No, its not. Its being used to show diversity and encourage assimilation and participation in Australia day by immigrants (in particular the Islamic community, who are having a hard time doing this at the moment thanks to people with opinions like yours).

Those girls go to Australia day last year, and get into it (just like we want them to). A Photo gets taken. Now you're saying they should be prohibited (on account of their faith) from being a visual spokesman for assimilation and Australia day the following year.

And you wonder why enclaves form.

Bill Hensen approves your message.

Doesn't make it right.

Do you want Muslims to assimilate/ integrate and attend Australia day events?

If the answer is 'yes' (and it is) then can you explain why a billboard like this is a bad idea?

Its depicting two happy kids waving Aussie flags at an Australia day event last year, and is intentionally pitched at encouraging assimilation via a message celebrating our diversity (and inclusiveness).

If they were waiving the Black Banner of Mohammed and not the Aussie Flag I could understand your reservations, but come on.

Or are you arguing that only 'Anglo Christian' kids are good enough to appear on an Australian day banner, and that Asians, Muslims, Jews, Sudanese, and so forth need not apply?
