Opinion Why I hate clash jumper discussions

I am so sorry. My bad.

I am to blame for all this clash guernsey nonsense.

I complained that in the 1977 Grand Final that I had trouble telling the difference between Collingwood players and North Melbourne players on my parents old black and white TV. I found the contrast would be a bit better if I got my younger sister to stick her toungue on the antenna - but I couldn't make her do it for any length of time.

So it seems like the VFL have finally got to that item on their to-do list. I'll write to them and tell them it doesn't matter anymore but I fear it'll take them another 30 years to action it.

I'd be happy to wear the clash jumper for every away game. Like previous post it takes be back to my youth in the 80's and 90's when we wore it all the time.

I can understand people thinking its crap when we say black on white and white on black. It sounds silly until you see it. One is dark one is light.

We should line all the jurno's up at training one day and have half the team in one jumper and the other half in another 100 meters away and offer a $1000 to anyone who can pick the difference. I bet Barrett would tell the difference then.

I hate clash jumper discussions because we don't need clash jumpers in the first place. They were introduced by the clever marketing people and have existed ever since.

I also hate clash jumper discussions because people like Damien (spelling?) Barrett write articles that tell people they are overreacting when they complain about changing their colours. F%6k you Damien. The black and white colours of the pies are one of, if not THE defining features of the club. That's why keeping the black and white stripes is so important.

By the way, the away strip looks good.

I get so pissed off about this topic to too. People just making up excuses to bag the s**t out of us. Totally agree on the best set of jumpers, they are classy.

You can't blame the haters for their ignorance, it's just that our clash jumper is that good most haters can't tell the difference between them.

Their anger makes me smile.

Another Joke is why we have to wear our clash jumper against Carlton when it's their home game yet when it's our home game they don't wear their shit clash jumper.

It really does make you wonder how the AFL comes up with these guidelines for the supposed clashes.
