Why I rate the Crows

Very nice to see some praise for the way our club is run being given from sources not in South Australia. I do find it interesting though that Eade supposedly 'decided' to take the Bulldogs job, over the Crows job when the interviews were taking place. Did he get told that the job was always Neil Craigs?

Either way, im staring to think that Craig is revolutionising the game. The professional and scientific approaches hes incorporated have been almost unheard of, and are certainly a key factor in us being able to beat an undefeated team with 8 of our first string players missing.

Their public utterances have always been considered and articulated very professionally. I have always found them, as a club, to be very honest, professional and people of their word in the small amount of dealings I have had with them. These dealings have included trading - which some clubs are less than honest - practice match organising and coach interviews.
Good stuff. Leigh Matthews expressed a similar sentiment not that long ago.

Craig was appointed before Eade, who never declined the Crows job. All indications are that Eade would have been happy to get the Crows job. After Craig was appointed he was successful in getting the Bulldogs job.

Had he been offered both, who knows, he may have taken the Dogs anyway, but it didn't get to the stage where he had to choose.

Eade certainly wouldn't have lost any fans since he's back in the AFL. He deserves all the respect he gets.

Judging by these comments (aswell as earlier ones) he didn't have a problem with the selection process of the Crows.

I think Eade is a pretty bloody good coach actually, hes done very well at the Dogs, but im also extremely glad Craig has taken over for two reasons. One, because he has been associated with the Crows in the past, and two, because hes an Adelaide lad.

Top article. :thumbsu: Always great to get recognition from other clubs, and thier coaches etc.

Shows how highly the club is thought of amongst the AFL

I must have had him confused with Wallace. Still a good article though.

Certain factions wanted Roos. Trying to remember the game against Essendon where the nail went into the coffin (who was the inexperience ruckman who missed the gimmy goal?) However, probably best for both parties as Roos has gone on to be successful & Eade probably needed the change & is doing well with the Bullies.

A brilliant article, and the accolades should be accepted; but I hope the players dont read it before the showdown as some could become complacent.

We need to be switched right on priot to the game or a Pork victory will materialise.
...geez I hate being rank favourites in a two horse race that could begin kicking against the tide.:o

Is it me or is the timing to this article sus?

For awhile now the Bulldogs have been getting very favourable press if not biased. The fact is they are low on members and cash and need to perform.

They had a good run with a very favourable draw but last week they were shown up big time, both in structure and tactics. So a couple of days later their coach writes an article about us (who made them look below average) that somewhat softens the true story about last week.

To me this is classic Terry Wallace.:thumbsd:

Well not me but Rodney Eade on the AFL site has good things to say about the team

From this article
They can slow the game down, move the ball quickly and have two or three different defensive strategies.

Well after the richmond game in RNd 8 Mr eade declared during discussions of Richmonds tactics on White line fever that "teams with only 1 defensive stratergy will get shown up by Richmonds tactics as Adelaide were".

In a promo for that show that week WLF highlighted this comment in showing how significant the debates on this show.

Well a E mail was sent to WLF the day of Eades next appearence on the show providing a link to this article and asking about the two conflicting statements from mr Eade.
They chose not to reply or acknowlage that E mail in any way.
