- everytime we go to kick the ball out after the other team has kicked a behind we find it hard to pinpoint a player???

- we always lose centre bounce clearances?

- we get killed around half forward?

that game was a shocker, watching the second half, the hawks were clearing the ball from the kick in with no pressure at all!!!

way to easy for them:mad:

In kick outs teams huddle at CHF and then lead out in all directions, KJ has come up with a different plan. He spreads his players out so that no one can lead and its easy for the opposition to man up. This is a serious post, from the 2 matches i've seen this year its all true.

I don't know what his theory behind it is, and maybe it could work with a better squad. But he should base the plan around the players he has, not base the players around his plan.

It was a gutless display.

D4e you are spot on with the kick ins.

In the ruck we lose the ball when tackled to easily and opponents break our tackles too easily, they are also harder at attacking the ball. Is it lack of strength or lack of commitment. Either way it's down to the coach.

There was no discipline out there, no manning up with Hawks players finding acres of space without an Eagles player within 10 metres.

OK I know you people are thinking I am only here to bag you but I am not, when you are competitive it is great fun to bag you, but today I felt sorry for you. There is no way you can blame todays loss on the coach, the players seemed totally disinterested & their disposal once they got the ball was pathetic, they didn't man up or put pressure on the player with the ball, looking at todays game I think that the Dockers would have beaten you.
p.s. I am really upset because you boosted the Hawks percentage, something I didn't want.

Great post Mantis
It's the bloody coach who fires the players up to attack the ball and have commitment and his responsibility to instill discipline in manning up. Players who are coached well are disciplined and play with passion.

Gee, you do give women footy followers a bad name :(

You give men supporters a bad name, the coach can talk & teach all he wants, but once those players are on the field, it is up to them. A coach can't stop players being disinterested, they are being paid big money to perform, if they play half hearted like the Eagles did today, then they have no respect for their team or the supporters.

Why is it that every time any coach has been criticised in history that very same record is played by some nerd?

Maybe because it is the truth & you have to stop making excuses for your players.

I think we should change to that CHF kick in idea. I have seen other teams do it and they seem to get it out of defence really easily, yet we decide to use this stupid spread out thing?!?! We only end up kicking to a contest where we either get outmarked or the ball comes to ground..its stupid.

Sandie does have a point - our players haven't been accountable to their opposition and at times many seem to be copping out of a contest and not getting in hard to have a red hot go. However Judge and the selection team need to be shot. Greg Harding gets another game - c'mon whats going on??
