There are certain posters on here who are behaving like sooky Richmond supporters. For God's sake, tonight was a bloody practice match. Those older Carlton supporters amongst us would remember the days when we would be absolutely diabolical in practice matches, get written off by the experts & then come out & destroy our opposition in Round 1. In 113 years of competition, not one VFL/AFL premiership has been won in February.

FWIW, this was Sydney's first win in the pre-season competition under Roos' coaching. Their abysmal pre-season record has done them no harm over the years.

This is exactly the type of thread that isn't needed. Pretty much an excuse to heap crap on a player in a most unconstructive way.

I have no issue with querying form with a bit of positive reinforcement but entirely sick of the dud calls. Dud calls = dud post = dud poster. Lift your game.

I was thinking about this very thing when I took my dog for a walk after the match. Yes we didn't play that well, but we lost by 12 points, that's all, 12 points. A couple of mistakes here, a couple of easy missed shots on goal, and the result could have been completelty different.

I couldn't care less about losing tonight, and us Melbournians still get the chance to see us play live next week against Brisbane.

Take out the supergoals & we lost by 6 points in a game where you could probably count our good players on the fingers of one hand.

One team had to win tonight & the other wanted to experiment.
