Within all the posts discussing who we might take in the "draft" nobody seemed to rate Jake Carlisle.
Is it just that many others are preffered before him or is there something negative in his profile?
I like his style. He has a good frame and is agreesive. The fact that he play's KP CHF or CHB obviously convinced me that he should be with the Blues.

JK is 196 and is an animal...

he was always going to make it.
He's taller than 196.

I thought it took him a while to adapt to the pace of AFL (like any draftee).

I also thought he looked sluggish especially off the mark (all except for his last game for us vs. Melbourne).

Looks a lot more agile now at WCE.

If Carlisle ended up turning out like JK (slow early on, but then picking it up) - I wouldn't be disappointed.

I think JK is overrated a bit though.

His upside is that he's shot up at the rate of about 1cm a month for the past 2 years.

So Carlisle could be anything - footy smarts of a small but an imposing frame.

On potential (and youtube!) I'd rate him higher than Talia. If he slides down the order it's because others are surer options and more ready for AFL; a little less upside but less risk.
