I don't think it was a mistake but they should have picked Cowan ahead of Warner. We all know why he was picked (the public love him for what he's done in the crap 20 20 game). My problem is that he has a very poor 50 over game. Very poor. A terrible record and I'm afraid his Test record will be the same. Some great innings and a lot of failures. We'll wait and see. Can't annoint a player as the next Ricky Ponting or write him off on one test match. You all need to cool it.

Fair enough "stats"... We will see... I will stick my neck out and say Warner will more than make it, with an average of over 45.... I can see him hitting big, big scores... He is more talented than any of our current batters other than a young Ricky... I look forward to seeing him bat on a dead, unbowler friendly pitch.... Think an Aussie Sehwag...

Now come on 'stats'.... Give me your prediction of Warners career....

One of us will take pleasure in bumping this thread:thumbsu:

I will bump this thread after ever Warner century....:thumbsu:

When will Cricket Australia learn?

Players like Warner and Hughes are flat track bullies.

As soon as the ball moves around they are hopeless.

Yet we keep picking 20 20 players for Test matches.

Ed Cowan is knocking the door down yet as he isn't a NSW player and Clarke's mate, he has no chance.

James Sutherland must be sacked on the spot.

Surely that is the first recommendation of the recent reports into CA.

We need to pick test batsmen who can play test cricket.
OP quoted for awesomeness!
