Why pick on Leon Davis?

No where near out worst last night and most of you think he was WOG. Its because he is black isnt it? Why dont you label C.Egan as ********house and WOG.

Egan had 1 posession all game, leon Davis had 14 possies and 1 goal. But I suppose Egan's 1 kick is much better than 14 leon davis' possesions

You are a joke mate!

The problem with Leon Davis is that he is not consistent at all. Leon would play a blinder one week, and the next week he will be ********house.

The real question should be..why do you pick on Chris Egan? He has only played a handful of games, and he has shown at times that in the future he can turn a game off his own boot.

Anyway, Leon has been in the mix for 4-5 years now, and it's about time he showed true consistency.

and why not the guy had a good season and ever since has been ********! has skill and speed, but he is just not a good footballer! maybe he woudl be a good basketballer or sumthin. he sucks balls

Why pick on Tarrant. "Not interested" who is f***ing interested when you are losing. He just wears his heart on his sleave.
Tarrant chases very hard usually but the ball was hardly in the forward line. He can't chase what's not there.
He did have a very poor game dropping marks, but he wasn't the only one. Swan continually, even when playing very well, loses sight of his man and waltzes about 50metres away from his oponent WHEN THE OPPOSITION HAVE THE BALL. Obviously he can fix this but Tarrant is an easy target. Please if you want to bag Tarrant say he is in poor form, not that he is lazy and uninterested.
Davis wasn't the worse on ground (even though i did say that in the W.O.G. thread now I've changed my mind) it's just that with this game he showed he has no potential to improve, and hence, no future at the club.
Brilliant pies I can just put up with the bagging of Tarrant, but the bagging of Egan who has played a handfull of games, and didn't get near enough game time in a game that was WELL over by the 2nd quarter, is utter garbage. MM should of gave Egan more gametime as the game was over and it would of done him no harm to play on the wing or HFF for a while.

BP thats one of the stupidest posts i have read

how much more can supporters expect of an 80+ game player who has been in the system 5 or so years, and plays like that last night? a fair bit mor ei reckon, but i just dont think we will see it

as for Egan, he is in his first year, and most likely struggling to keep up week in, week out with the AFL grind for a player at his stage of development

I don't think many people are suggesting that Davis was out and out worst on ground, just that with that showing he has no future at the club.

One of his first efforts was to fly for a speccie in the goalsquare. He managed to spoil Caracella who probably would've taken an uncontested chest mark. Typical Leon dumbness. He has been in the caper for about 6 years now and you can count his really good games on one hand. He is finished imo.

The difference is that Leon has no future and that what we saw on Saturday is about as good as you'll ever get from him.

Egan has genuine pace and ability on his side. He also has youth and he has a lot to learn. He also needs Malthouse to show a little faith in him and give him more gametime.

Not a good footballer? Well he did make the AFL so he ********s on your abilities. Leon is probably my favourite player and yes he needs a lot more consistency but it is extremly hard to play forward pocket because one week you get lots of crumbing and the next u will be muscled out.

If Egan plays to davis' level over 5 years I will call for him to be traded too. Perhaps Davis wasn't our worst but he has never been our best and rarely gets close to it. My problem with Leon is that he is barely better at anything than he was in 2000.

Davis's best position is the midfield IMO. He can weave through traffic and get some clearences. However he is not hard at it enough, not accountable and just not good enough to be left there.
So he is stuffed.

Chris Egan had a good last quarter. Got into the game, and showed some really good signs. Missed a couple of sitters, but the experience will do him the world of good.

Leon was good in a Leonic sort of way.

Egan was excellent in the last. Hopefully he becomes more consistent.
