If there was an award for most improved player in the comp it would be him.

I also think he is the last Magaery Medalist who will do well in the AFL.

Port are doing well because they have finally found where the big sticks are.

Poor goalkicking was the only thing that kept them down the ladder in previous seasons, now the missing ingredient is in place, and Port are reaping the rewards accordingly.

cheers

BSA, you are so right, The behind posts use to be painted red in the SANFL, it has taken Port a bit of time to realize the scoring posts are all white in the AFL and the two tall ones are goals.....

cro-magnon logic !

Go Port !!!!!

ptw.... you are right about Francou...he will be the last Magarey medallist to do well in the AFL.

Three out of first four games in Adelaide hasn't hurt either.

Suspect that they'll struggle away, just as most clubs do.

You took the words right out of my mouth TT!

One win was a narrow win over Brisbane, whose own coach admits that they are mediocre.

And two resounding wins over two bottom four teams, Adelaide and St Kilda.

Port were lucky that the Bombers aren't fully match fit as yet, otherwise they'd have copped a flogging!

Doing well??? Doing as expected! An improved side. Just like the REAL Magpies!

Not a Port supporter, but still a Brett Montgomery supporter. Thought he had a good one on Saturday after a quiet first 3 games. His improvement will mean a lot to the Power.

Crumbs!

Interesting game against Geelong this week.
Port haven't won a game in Victoria since they beat Collingwood by a point in 99.

With this being the 2nd year running Port has received the full complement of road trips (2 perth, bris, syd, canberra) they play in Victoria less than any other team.

Also last year only the St. Kilda game (a debacle admittedly) was against a non finals team.

4 of our 5 games in Vic last year were in the 1st 11 rounds (Ess, Carl, Bulldogs, Saints), we weren't even winning at home during this period (1 win), so away form there meant little.
