If Sydney were willing to use there 3rd draft pick on David Spriggs, why didn't we just trade him to Sydney during trade week?

If St Kilda were willing to use there 2nd draft pick on Cain Ackland, why didn't Port trade for him during trade week?

becuase port have become really good at "taking a stance" on players and always wanting something equally good in return but never getting...why??...because their selfish and cant face the fact that a player/s want to leave the club (i would say mainly because of mark williams)

Knobel left the Saints after the end of the trade period, did he not? St Kilda need a replacement so they drafted Ackland.

The swans 3rd pick was a 4th rounder, why would we want that anyway, we would then have had to delist a contracted player to accomodate the extra selection.

The swans 3rd round draft pick was pick 47. We could have used that instead of pick 64. You would not have had to delist anybody you just would have had an earlier last pick.

Thank god the Swanettes picked him up, was frightened he would join another incompetent (skillwise) former geelong chum Dave Clarke at Carlton.
Thanks Sydney.

Everyone would be amazed at the speed and flair of Carlton's midfield with Clarke, Spriggs and Carrazzo, until it came time to deliver the ball to the forward line

But didn't Spriggs name his price when nominating for the draft?
That rule only applies to the PSD. Swans can pay him anything they want with the confines of the CBA.

No Spriggs can set a price on his head in the National Draft. Previously listed players can do so. Spriggs was attracting interest from Carlton however his nominated salary was too high for them to consider.
