We just have to win this weekend...there are 3 other clubs on 4 and 4 at this point in time. They are the Dorkers, North and the tigers. Richmond play Stkilda which wont be too hard for them. Freo have the Lions at the gabba which will be VERY difficult for them and the roos have melbourne which may be hard for the roos. If All these teams win and we dont we'll fall away from the pack and be a game down. If we win however and the dee's loose then we catch up with the rest of the middle eight teams!
MUST WIN GAME!!!!!!!!

Good post carly! I think we always need to stay ahead of the pack, by having 5-4 and not 4-5 after Round 9. Being one game out of the pack can really hurt us, since this year is so close!

Funny how one win or one loss can move a side around so much on the ladder. Will percentage be a factor at the end of the season?

Percentage will be very important considering how close it will be this year. I think 2 games are guaranteed. The Dockers will lose and go 4 - 4 but Richmond will win and go 5 - 4. Nth, Demons game is 50 - 50 and same goes for WC v Haw.

Real important game but im in good spirits with Gardiner included, still needs to pass a fitness test but i think he'll play and i like us at home in our old guernseys....heres hoping!

Also forgot to say that it is very important because if we can win at home then we have a great shot at beating the Saints away....2 games above .500??

I know thats looking ahead, but thats why this weekends game is so important, it can really put us in good stead for the coming weeks.

Well, after tonights results, tomorrows game becomes even more important

A win tomorrow will move us away from the Dockers (if they lose), Richmond (they lost to StKilda) and North (lost as well)

We have a great opportunity to stay in the hunt for the 8 :)

Even if we lose, it looks like we'll stay in eighth for this week at least. (Unless the Dockers win, but that would be the upset to end all upsets!)

But a win would put a (tiny) bit of breathing space between the eight and the rest, whereas if we lose we become part of a pack of between 4 and 7 teams all looking for one spot in the eight.

This is so true Carly P, but as I once stated before on the boards, the WC need to finish sides of for percentage as it will mean so much this year on the closeness of the competition.

Go you mighty Eagles......

You'd better win; I need the tip! ;)
