Any thoughts on how our pre-season game style aligns with what seems to be working in this weeks games? Seeing lots of aggressive handball and run and carry through the backline. It's concerning because Bigman was talking about how we're kicking a lot and moving the ball out of the backline cautiously. I'm wondering whether this is another Nicks tactical blunder where he fails to read the room and we end up with a shit gameplan that doesn't work.

Agreed, this squad is being held back by him massively. We can't afford to let him carry on. If we were run by a ruthless organisation he would have been sacked after that finals series and not 1 winning one ****ing quarter at home.

No way we will win a flag, not even close. Unless we change our game style. Too much bombing it in, if we played Hawthorn tonight we would have been destroyed by 10 goals. I also think Hawthorn can possibly win it this year. They set the example of how you finish off games, constant non stop pressure. Once we took the lead on Rankine's amazing goal the players thought we had the game won, you don't slow it down against a side that has been relentless all game, you need to go for the kill until the siren goes. Giving away some silly frees also halted the momentum but you still never give up.

Should have subbed off Ah Chee as he totally went missing, and then he got injured and now we are without him for 3-4 weeks minimum. We play Geelong next week so it probably won't matter after all, a thrashing is coming up if we continue to play like this. We need to change this over 4 quarters and have more belief.

Doggies got the job done tonight, tackling inside 50, attack, great team effort all round and never gave up. They have been inconsistent over the past few years but they renewed hope with a 3-0 start against 3 sides that made the finals last year. But of course 2026 is different.
