Why is it that there seems to be a rule saying you can not lay a finger on Mathew Lloyd when Brett Burton, Ken McGregor and Nick Gill are allowed to get practically r*ped by Essendon backmen whereas Lloyd can have a handful of Scott Stevens gurnsey and somehow get a free kick?

Also how on earth did Lloyd get that free kick on the wing in the last quarter and how on earth was that allowed to be advantage. There was a 15 second period where the game stopped then Dyson runs onto it and is allowed to run off with it. Either of Stevens or Goodwin who were there could have picked up the ball if they thought there was an advantage situation but no, there was no advantage. **** me umpires are stupid.

C'mon what did you expect.

It was the 'boner for Sheedy and Lloyd' day today. We never get anything regardless, but today was going to be even worse.

Anyone remember Sheedy having a cry saying "You can't touch Riedvwolt at the moment without giving away a free"?

Do you reckon he ever grasped the irony in that statement?

As in the bombers would have 1 less premiership to their name if that wasn't also true for one of their star forwards.

Stupid thread.

We also had a couple of frees in front of goal in that crucial last quarter.

In the end, we weren't good enough on the day.

I know The weak as piss bias bull shit is out of control I'm sick to death of it Our Forwards have to work ten times harder then any other team to get a free and even then when they deserve the free they still don't get it!!

I thought we put in a great effort today only for the umpires to screw it up!

You mean one free kick which was payed well after the game was over to a bloke who would have probably missed?

And where does it say i'm blaming the loss on the umpiring? I'm just noticing that they are ****wits.

But then again your a stupid poster who only shows up after losses so your most probably Total Power or some ****.

We weren't good enough, but the comments are warranted. The freekicks in front that we got were there (van berlo) and then they finally gave one to gill when it didnt matter.

Some bad umpiring decisions but our kicking for goal and lack of desperation at certain points throughout the game was disgusting.

I really, really, really hate talking about the umpires.

that said, our no.1 recruiting priority for next year MUST be a copy of the matthew lloyd rule book. it sure doesn't look like the same one everyone else plays to.

The umpiring seemed pretty decent in the first half but went to absolute crap in the second half. When the game was there to be won in the last quarter they ruined the game. No we can't blame the umpires for our loss but bloody hell they make me angry.

Three noticable decisions (in front of goal) I can remember :

1) Matthew Lloyd being held in front of goal. Technically it may have been there and it was a little soft, but surely others should be paid if that one was ? The master of milking frees.

2) Andrew Mcleod putting his head over the ball, NLM attempting to kick the ball and no 'kicking in danger'.

3) McVeigh getting a soft 'holding the man' decision in a marking contest against Torney. Again, may have been there, but surely if that's a free, there were numerous others that were missed down our end ?

Frustrating.
