He's never done an AFL preseason so I don't see any world in which his fitness isn't way way behind. Interesting watch.
They put him through a preseason after he signed, before they played him in the VFL.

Harry has the advantage of national champions UXYZ and elite cricket.

He is younger but he’s played more football.

Not many Cat Bs debut before first rounders.
Thats not an advantage over Parker at all. He was a high school student and part time athlete last year regardless of the programs he participated in. Parker went through elite pathways as a junior too and has been full time in elite professional environments for years now.
Harry has not played more football, I’m sorry but that’s just incorrect. The only thing you could say is he played junior football more recently.
Let’s be honest here. End of first rounders aren’t really first rounders anymore. Pick 24 is what would have been pushing towards the mid second round a decade ago, and is far more speculative than a top 18 pick as a general rule.
Not many Cat B’s were regarded as first round prospects in their draft year.

Realistically, Harry was more professional than most high schoolers in the draft. Went through SEDA Frankston in their high performance program.

Well Harry has played more football. Parker quit footy and didn’t partake in the 2020 season or play any games after that. Many years to lose game awareness, sense and skill if you want to say Harry was injured.

Give it up, you’ve lost this argument already. A handful of u18’s football games aren’t a difference maker in their experience, and Harry being more professional than a bunch of high schoolers is irrelevant in regards to his professional environment experience vs Parker.

I really am shocked to be sitting here. The debutants are coming thick and fast now. Massive contrast to last year, but Collingwood under Fly is never predictable.

As others have noted, a bit of a concern that we might reach the tipping point of having so many inexperienced players in the team - but I'll worry about that on Friday night.

Go Wil.

Fortunately we have had such a strong run since round 2 that we can afford to drop a game. Won’t be our preference but at least now we are back in the field.

An absolute shock, but as l have mentioned previously, out of all the young guns running around in the VFL, he has excited me the most, because of what he is doing at VFL level for a player coming from a long way back, due to not playing footy for 4 years.
Wil looks a natural footballer, and it's great to see him get a taste of senior footy now, because l think he could be a regular next season. Not to say he couldn't really establish himself in the side this year.....Exciting times!!!....👏👏🏆B2B🏆
