If tickets are available, I will probably purchase one for a Crows vs GWS Grand Final.

The Grand Final experience counts more than which teams are playing.
Especially when you have the chance to witness history (first GWS premiership). Regardless what you think of them it would still be a historical occasion.

Speak for yourself OP. Adelaide Vs GWS would easily be my favourite Grand Final since the West Coast-Sydney ones in 2005-06. Bring it on! Of course it will sell out, don't be silly.

The Crows have more members/supporters than Geelong. Better us playing GWS than most teams if you want to fill the stadium.
I'm not denying that the crows have the supporter base to fill a 90k stadium, but to fill a 90k stadium in Melbourne is not the same thing as doing it at home. Forking out over $1,000 for a footy game is not always an option for some.

Lol Relax.

It's an observation that no one is interested in watching GWS and they may end up playing another non-Melbourne team in Melbourne.

It's a unique situation
You care so little you make threads on the topic and your time defending your ansurd OP. Hypocracy is your name, not Geoff

If I lived in Melbourne, yes

You do realise we only got 53k last night because there are only that many seats in the ground? I mean it's a pretty obvious point
What's even more obvious is that 53k was the HIGHEST EVER crowd at AO. Hence, people have reason not to go to the footy on a weekly basis, even in their own city, let alone Melbourne.

Even GWS/Gold Coast would sell out, don't be silly. Not only would Adelaide at least have more demand than supply re: club allocation, you'd also get a heap of punters who'd go because it's a grand final even if the club allocations don't sell out.

Plus it's only like 35% of the tickets that actually go to the clubs, the majority go to AFL members/MCC.

Incorrect. It's the highest ever AFL crowd at Adelaide Oval. The record is 62,543 at the 1965 SANFL Grand Final. That will never be beaten because there's simply not enough room.

Doesn’t need 90k Crows fans to sell out next week. The game would sell out from AFL fans. As has been pointed out over and over, a relatively small number of tickets are available to competing clubs. Corporate tickets are done, AFL and MCC members will take their allocations. Even IF GWS had a material impact on allocated numbers, there are plenty of footy fans in Melbourne who would love to go to a GF, potentially an opportunity that has never been open to them. Will it sell out? Easily. Will the crowd number on the day reflect a sell out? Probably not.
