Will Ben Kinnear get a run?

With out being a Di.ck who would you honestly rank above Kinnear??

Statman - I was being sarcastic regarding the club man thing. Generally when a player is a DUD as Kinnear is, the reason given for him still being at a club is that "He is a terrific Club Man".

Kinnear would rank IMO about 30 on our list. I place him that high because the likes of Shack, Mullins, King etc will not be ready for senior footy for perhaps another year.

While I value the judgement of Hotpie, who generally speaks a lot of common sense there is no way I would have kinnear in the top 25.
His skills, decision making ability and footy nouse are just not up to it.
Face it Kinnear has only one redemming feature - Height.
But as someone else said on here sometime ago, if thats all he is in the team for why not use a Goal Post and the goal post would play better.

Walker for one. Not because he is much of a senior AFL footballer but because his development has upside. Scotland easily. Betheras is another fringe player well above Kinnear. McKee si a terrible ruckman but abouve kinnear. cameron Cloke hasn't played a game but is already a better senior option than Kinnear IMO.

Ben Kinnear has had his chances over 5 years and proved he is not good enough. That is all there is to it. If we can package him with a draft choice in an unpgrade (eg late 4th round for high 4th round) that would be a great deal. Otherwise we should delist him.

Not just kicks, handballs and marks (although there aren't many of them anyway) but include turn overs, hand ball receives, hard ball gets, tackles and clangers.

You cant place them higher because they havnt played, Might as well rank Leith Teakle above them u idiot. He is in our best 25,time to face it. Of the 25 up for selection he is there. So if you cant handle having a couple of challenged players,as you think they are in the team then perhaps you should go for Brisbane.

A player who has some flaws, i will admit that. But still a muh better option than Kinnear.
I can think of about 4 games where McGough has played really well and helped us to victory. Compared to one game where Kinnear has played well, even though Kinnear has played more games.

Collingwood will never win a premiership if Kinnear is in our top 25 players, but luckily this year he isn't, so we have a chance

I admitt it, BK has no exeptional tallent, nor does McGough, he is a cult figure of the club, he is big tall, not lanky, slow, cannot kick and he looks doopy as any thing.............thats why we love him, he is a legend and always will be and i tell you what if he get's delisted then i'll cry, who will we go for ???

Davidson (if not injured we would rather blood a young gun)
Kinnear/Richardson

No matter how you look at it there are 2 or more players better than him gunning for one of his spots, be it because they are simply better or we've rather give a young player like Walker more experience than give Kinnear ANOTHER chance to prove himself.

Kinnear should not even be mentioned in same breath as McGough. McGough is in his 2nd year and proven more than Kinnear has already, where Kinnear is in his 5th or so year.
McGough has one exceptional talent, that is his ability to get the ball from the pack and clear it out, which, on his day is one of the best clearence players going around. He is a ball magnet.
The only thing going for Kinnear is his athleticism which is a level above the VFL, but in the AFL he either doesn't have enough confidence to use it or it's just average at AFL level.

He generally gets the ball away in time, and accurately, which is more than can be said about other players (Kinnear, Cole even ... )

bk is a dud. hes been at collingwood for a long time for little return. his footskills are ****house but theres no doubt he a goer but jason wild was a goer to but he had similar footskills or lack of. lets be serious if we are serious bk is not in the side.
