In your opinion do you think Buddy Franklin will one day get 1000 goals. If so, predict the year!

I think he will, IMO he's probably got about 5-6years of his best footy still ahead of him. 2018 will be the year Buddy kicks his 1000th!

to reach it in 2018 he would need to average like 85 goals a year for the next 6 years

doubt he gets to 1000...probably end his career on 800ish

I actually think there is a distinct possibility his goal tallies may spike again a little later in his career so yes, definitely possible.

More time closer to goals, less time working up the ground as he ages to prolong his career.

I dunno, as DE said, depends how long he plays. 800+ in an era where forwards have 3 or 4 people filling the hole in front of them is an almighty effort nonetheless.

Could do. But either has to lift his average substantially or play till about 33 or 34. Not really a crash through type player so may have more longevity than other key forwards.

Depends how long Hawthorn stays near the top - 2,3,4 finals per year adds another 10-20 goals per year etc - I guess that goes hand in hand with him playing. With Buddy in the side Hawthorn are always a good side capable of big scores.

I think he could definately crack 1000 - maybe around 2019-2020?

You wont really be able to park him in the goal square in the latter part of his career to great effect though. Or maybe im wrong and he will be a stellar FF.

I don't reckon he will, but wouldn't be surprised if he got there. He is a freak.

Probably needs another year where he pushes 100 in the season to get there.

Either way, it's a fair effort to get 500 in these days footy considering Riewoldt only just got there

Definitely a chance. I could see him playing well into his 30s and spending more time deep later in his career.

If he avoids serious injuries, he'd be a very good chance.

He should if he stays injury free.

has a good 5 years left of around 80 goals and then could get 2-3 years playing the third tall in a pocket kicking 50ish.

If the sub rule goes 2-2 and hawks play a lot of finals that will help too.

Also he's super durable and doesn't play the crash and bash role so should have a longer career than most forwards.

I reckon he's a good chance - he only kicked 21 and 31 in his first two seasons, so he's got 450 in 5.5 seasons. Would need to play six more at a similar rate, but no reason he can't (barring injury).

Maybe he will kick 1000 behinds as well....
couldnt be bothered to see how many points he has kicked to now......but just sayin
Might well do! Has kicked 369.

Might kick 1000 goals and 1000 behinds ;)

I think buddy will get the 1000 before he retires. I'm sure if he starts kicking straighter he will do it comfortably.
