If anything , he showed a lot of promise in his first few games/in his first season (despite being sub for many of them )
Wellingham was recruited as a rookie by Collingwood so I suspect he was a late bloomer (unlike Duggan has been so far )
Either way , way too early to call!

I mean - Duggan doesnt have the silky smooth skills of say, Scooter or Paddy. But after maybe, 3 - 4 preaseasons under his belt, maybe we could run him through the middle.

Your understanding re his old position in TAC footy is true. In his bottom aged year he was a HB, but in his final year of junior footy he was a midfielder...That's his position.

Does anyone predict that Duggan will be a (bad) wellingham. I predict that he will get 10-11 touches per game (which is not good enough in the middle). He doesn't seem like the big bodied possesion getter (consistently getting 20-30 possesions). From my understanding his old main position was half back? So I honestly see duggan as a wellingham type off half back.

I hope he does turn into a mid.

Do a bit of research on his under age career and I think you will change your mind.

Will be an out and out champ.

Could have been a legit question in last year's preseason before we saw how hard at the footy he is for someone so young (just ask that bitch Monfries)

Once he bulks up and presuming he stays injury free Duggan will be extremely good in the middle

Toss a coin, we seem to be hit and miss with our recruits...McGovern who wasn't rated a few years back is now one of our hottest properties for goodness sake. I'm hoping we're not far away from unveiling an elite jet but its such a hard thing to predict with kids, who would of thought Fyfe was going to be any good ? certainly not our recruitment department that's for sure.
