preseason

Might want to re-read this before declaring you’ve beaten the reigning premiers…

Carlton have started well though, the big question mark was on whether Voss could get them playing good system based football that makes the second tier of players below Walsh, McKay, Weitering (and a healthy Cripps) in to a productive team.

So far he’s done that, and Curnow looks to be moving really well after two long-term knee issues which is a real bonus.

A game was played. A team won. Don't get too caught up in it.

Yeah I don’t think I’m the one getting caught up in it boss man..

I don’t see me claiming we beat the runners up haha

Depends the circumstances, Carlton had a good chunk of their top players out, Melbourne didn't have many out, Melbourne's leaders were visually annoyed, they did care. It's not a huge deal, but it's not nothing. It is what it is, it happened.

I didn't see the Essendon Bulldogs game, can't comment on how relevant it is. Apart from making finals it's probably the only positive at Essendon for a while, things not going well there when top players are having time off, getting injured and the team is getting beaten and belted.

At this small cross section, comparing both sides, they are chalk and cheese.
