i have never been a fan of charlie i just don't think he has any thing to offer the club that is needed.
he is a good lead and mark and can find the footy aroud 60m out but then just makes stuiped decisions and turns the ball over.
also next year if there is a fit ottens, n ablett, kingsley and s johnson as well as mackie who is taller and more versitile gardiner will not get a game.
unless he can make dramatic improvments and add a few more strings to his bow 2006 will more than likly be his last with the cats

He's showed glimpses in the past of what he's capable of and this is what the coaching staff are hoping he can prduce on a regular basis. I'm still unsure about him, I thought this year was going to be his and he'd step up and start producing on a regular basis, but instead he took a step backwards where he still put in a couple of good games, but really struggled in many. He's got one more year in my opinion and he must start producing the goods in 06. Perhaps a shift in position is needed as he seems a little out of his depth in the forward line.

That's what I think, and you can sometimes see exactly what they do see in him, it's just that he struggles to put it all together (or even some of it together) on a regular basis.

He was all the rage after the 04 preseason, but just didn't bring it into the season. I don't think he'll ever be able to play a key position, but could be a handy rotation in the midfield, kinda as a marking centreman.

Can someone confirm that Charlie signed a new 2 year deal midway through 2005. If correct he will be there in 2006 & 2007. I still think he will come good..
