Some good answers to a few (predictably) stupid questions.

Nice highlights - particularly liked his change of direction to get himself open. Will need that as he goes.

Look forward to seeing how he develops

Do the young journalists today, do anymore than trot out the same hackneyed questions repeatedly ?

It's almost as if they've put no thought or preparation going to the interviews

Needs to work on his slight frame but he's very quick, runs all day, excellent overhead and close to the best kick in the draft, lacks nothing in the courage department either, even though slight at this point he puts his body on the line and goes hard. Ticks a lot of the boxes.

I see a ceiling with this kid and it's very high. Has the tools (ticks the boxes like you said)

Let's hope he grows and develops unhindered so that he can reach it. Reminds me a lot of Isaac Smith, but potentially has a few more strings to his bow. That's large.

I don't think its just the young journalists...

Is there a little bit of Polec in the way he moves?

I definitely see a similar player to Polec with his dash, outside run and pinpoint accuracy, plus more courage than Polec

(not Polak as i quoted elsewhere who unfortunately walked into a tram )

They probably checked his FB page. That counts as research doesn't it?
That’s the extent of it these days, not all the journos fault .... there’s not a lot of $$$$ to support news gathering these days .... so big footy is a rich source of stories

What I love about this kid, and I admit it is a highlights package, but his disposal efficiency is 100% which includes few reflexes kicks under pressure.
Yeah, they looked good. I have seen a few videos where they show the kid kick and it doesn't hit the target though. I think that he's going to be excellent. This will be the Trademark Hamish special i think.

He appears to have a very high ceiling (pace, beautiful kick, clean hands, great mark, courageous), with the chance that he doesn’t make it due to low possession counts and trouble winning the contested ball.

Eh, contested ball can be worked around as an issue, however it would confine him to half back.

DMac played 200 games with a low possession count

I've seen this lad play live, he has no problems going for contested ball, none at all. Once he gets in the weights room and puts on some muscle that side of his game won't be any concern. He has the potential and the tools to play back, forward or midfield [outside midfield/wing at this point]. People here do realise he played for the Dandenong Stingrays who play a very, very team orientated game style, in fact their leading possession getter for the season was midfielder Campbell Hustwate who only averaged 20.8 compared to Hamill's 14.7. Also worth remembering the TAC is 25 minute quarters with no time on.

I agree ...I'm not seeing as much concern with Hamill & his contested game, as I do with Scholl
