Well we all predicted it but will it happen?

He is a KJ signing and was only forced out through injury. Now he is back and we did sign him on a 3 year contract!!!!!!

ps. You guys who haven't seen Scotty in the WAFL. Prepare yourself for a pleasant surprise :) Slim, superfit Scotty :D

I reckon you should perservere with him for a year longer. At Freo I always thought he was a reasonable player (far better than Carroll).

THis year he hasn't been able to show that he can play and should probably get one more year to show his worth.

I was reading somewhere, that in his firsty couple of years at Freo he was very promising and playing good footy. Then came the injuries and he tailed off. WC were taking a gamble over whether he could stay injury free. Obviously he's having trouble still and in a squad that allready has too many injury prone players I can't see the club taking the risk with him. It depends how we trade I guess. If we get rid of a few players on two for one deals, he may find himself staying.

No way he will stay. We all made a list of who will get delisted in a different thread and his name came up everytime.

Also, I don't believe he is back. KJ is just giving him a run so he can try and prove his worth to the coaching panel. We will see a lot of these "potential delistings" play games over the next 3 weeks. Somehow i got a feeling the same story goes for Cummings, he's playing for his career now, and unless he kicks 16+ goals in the next 3 games i think we can kiss his ass goodbye.

Didn't play that bad today, certainly a few other such as Glass that were worse than him and made more errors. If the delistings occur after the trading period, this will determine what happens to him. The club may need a defender in the end, especially if there are a couple of surprise retirements.

Harding will be one of many that will leave the club at the end of the year...

Even tho it is a bit unfair cos he hasnt had a chance to show anything due to injury

Going to extend on who you think those players are?

Will do ;)

Im taking into account everything, ie: form, football ability, injury prone etc

1) Harding (hasnt done enough and is injury prone)

2) Cummings (im against this one but i think it'll happen anyway, there might be a chance that if KJ leaves, the next coach may give him another chance, unlikely to stay tho)

3) Antonowicz (cant break into the team, IMHO, hasnt shown much)

4) Donnolly (injuries have ended his career)

5) Turnball (can't break into the team, we have enough players like him)

6) Munro (Saw him at Subi a couple of times this year, he might be lucky and kept on the list but i dont think he will)

7) Wooden (Yes, he has played better this year, and he does often show promise, HOWEVER, i dont think he'd be in the starting 22 of any other team in the AFL)

8) Braun or Morrison (Good players, Braun is really good but injury prone and Morrison seems to be inconsistent under Ken Judge, Personally would like to see them get back to their best form with the Eagles)

9) Banfield (This ones unlikely but who thought Metro wouldve been traded last year??)

So there you have it Vis
:D

I think Harding will definately be delisted at the end of the season. I didn't rate him very highly as a player at Fremantle and my opinion of him as a player hasn't changed from seeing him with the Eagles and Claremont. IMO he doesn't go in hard enough at the footy.

7) Wooden (Yes, he has played better this year, and he does often show promise, HOWEVER, i dont think he'd be in the starting 22 of any other team in the AFL)

I think you're wrong there Ice, Wooden would get picked up easily if delisted. Best Eagles player today.

We signed Harding on a three year contract? Did we? Hopefully for base plus appearances (ie not much so he fits in the salary cap).

He looked to be one of the Dockers' best in the early years (I even remember Dennis referring to him as "a young Guy McKenna", before apologising and saying it was far too early.....which it was. But injuries and probably a lack of hardness have come to haunt him, so delist.

Wooden was probably our best player yesterday and has probably done enough to stay on the list by now. He is an untidy scrubby player who misses easy shots (yesterday, Sydney away etc) and looks at his best in a losing side, but he is a trier and has perfected the "rugby union kick to touch" so we can use him well when under pressure.

I reiterate my tediously regularly stated comment that until we get a midfield that can at least break even ie WIN the hard ball (did we miss Kerr or miss Kerr?) and PASS the ball accurately (a couple from Ben and the start of the 4th quarter from Peter Matera), we will be under pressure.

Well i think the answer is to look at our current defence. Harding is injury prone and is no star so lets look at the current defence to see if there is a place for him.

Defensive talls.

Carroll
Glass
McIntosh
Collica
Jakovich

Defensive Smalls

Wirrpunda
Wooden
Read
Morrison

Is there really a place for him in there?? Harding isnt really that tall but i cant see him breaking into that defence. Jakovich, McIntosh, Collica, Wirrpunda and Morrison when fit are all certainties to be picked week in week out. Carroll and Glass have shown great promise and come on in leaps and bounds this year. Wooden has looked good out of a back pocket and Read will be back next year.

We will probably look at another defender in the draft or a trade (Gasper) to fill the void of Milli and Jako in the next few years, so with all that into consideration i cant see him staying.

If you cant break into a team with all the injuries we have had this year then how will he get into it next year if the injuries dry up?
