He should have been awarded a mark earlier, plus he was taken high but I think the umpire called advantage.

He’s getting games because we lack small forward craft and speed.
He is exactly the type of player we are missing (Bobby Hill)

I would love to see what he could do with Hill, McCreery, Schultz and Elliottin the same side when there’s more chaos to our play than high long bombs.

It’s a tough position to play but he has the skillset we are crying out for

Selection merit is being best available for the role.

If he gets his positioning right, he's just about our only available small forward with enough pace to run around providing pressure and able to do something when a crumb falls his way in a congested forward line. Play him until Bobby gets back and then see where he's at.

Thought the young skinny kid did well v Carlton. He still doesn’t have the tank for multiple repeat efforts demanded in AFL but he has the skills imo and is a ripper kick. Definitely worth keeping.

I don't think he's skinny after putting on 11kgs between seasons. He has a good tank due to being a cross country runner.
Not sure how that relates to playing AFL but am sure it must help.

~ 80 000 last week at the G
~ 85 000 Kings birthday
~ 90 000 this week at Anzac day
Played the reigning premiers at the Gabba

It's a good way to get him up to speed.
He's got plenty of talent - now he just needs games under his belt.

Will's ToG was only 50%, so perhaps that is why a few people think he went missing during the game. The reason he went missing is because he was sitting on the bench for half the game! That last quarter goal was sensational and will potentially boost his confidence.

I think he is going to be a great player and he put so much work over summer to become fitter and stronger. Like all of us, I would love to see Bobby back to his best but if something goes awry, we need a player like Will. If everything goes to plan and Hill becomes a regular again, then I can't wait to see them play together (and also HH).

The kid has talent, that's unmistakable. I am very defintely getting old becuase Will does look just like a child. He will make it but he will need time to develop physically. He has the traits and in the right environment they will be realised.
