Wrong. Our coaching staff obviously don’t agree with you and see him as a viable option ready to play when needed

He was very good once he settled. Good running patters and pressure acts. He is a good chance to play a fair few games this year. If he keeps up that form and steadily improves, it won’t be long before he secures himself a role in the best 23.

Today was finals like in terms of time and space afforded, not to mention atmosphere. Very tough for a young lad in his second game to adjust to. Nice to see him kick his first AFL goal.

The kid is not ready and will make way if Shultz, JDG and Lippa are fit, but he has shown enough to suggest another preseason and a bit more experience and he will be a player.

Would absolutely love for him to stack a block of games over the next few weeks.

Saints and WCE in the fortnight after the bye so I’d hope they stick with him for a fortnight and see how he goes.

Loved his intent and help along the wings as a connector to our other forwards.

I thought he was alright. Sullivan and Allan struggled more. But I suspect they'll keep Allan in for a couple more. Hoopla followed by a poor game and dropped wouldn't be a good thing.

I like him a bit. Might not get a solid chunk of games, but would have him in for games against WC and Richmond

Loved some of his contest stuff today. Still not strong and got stripped a few times. Getting games into him now and learning off some of the senior boys is going to benifit him so much. He has a good footy IQ which is why we drafted him. Him and Harrison are going to be fun to watch over the next few years.

I don’t think the club gave him a block of games on the wing just to throw him out first stinker but he wouldn’t want to have anymore of them.

It will be interesting to see if any of the kids (Long, Hayes, Allan, Sullivan) are part of September. In 2010 a number of veterans were pushed out of the team by Sidey, Blair, Beams and McCaffer.

I don't think it will happen this year except for Long. This year our veterans are playing well, a couple of them having their best seasons for a while, and we still have JDG, Maynard, Shultz and Lippa to comeback.

At this stage it will be injury not form that will get them a game come September. The old buggers are still getting it done.

I don’t see a need to play him again against the Saints. He’s had a taste, kicked a goal send him back to the two’s to build strength and to further develop his game.

A spell in the twos would be great for him. Try another kid.

He is probably the most likely after Long and his chances improve as things warm up in September. But may need injuries squeeze into side.

Long is now part of this midfield. I don't see that changing unless he drops off massively.
But the others probably not so much. Allan, may be dependant on injuries and his form.
