Will Hayward
Spritely Sydney Swans forward [PLAYERCARD]Will Hayward[/PLAYERCARD] enjoyed a rocketing start to his career as he became the 11th-youngest player in the AFL era to reach 50 career goals in 2018. The 2016 draftee’s nippy pace and cunning goal awareness have made him a dangerous option in coach John Longmire’s forward line. A broken jaw and a persistent hip injury limited Hayward to just 12 goals in 13 senior games in 2019, but the South Australian is attacking the 2020 campaign on the back of his first full pre-season. Don’t be surprised if the exciting Swan finds himself on a wing this year.

[PLAYERCARD]Will Hayward[/PLAYERCARD]
DOB: 26 October 1998
DEBUT: 2017
DRAFT: #21, 2016 National Draft
RECRUITED FROM: Walkerville (SA)/North Adelaide (SANFL)

The thing that impresses me most about hayward is...........the fact that some of the posters on here were in raptures (justifiably so) when we picked him up. We have some very educated and in the know posters on the board !

Was honestly the best selection we could make.

You'd have to think he would be in the running for a Rising Star nomination this week.

Saw a few games over the weekend, not sure I saw anybody who would knock him off??

Could be anyone this week.

I think Tom Phillips from the Pies should get it this week. Hayward well in contention over the next few weeks though.

Yep he was very good this week too

I know a recruiter who used to be an AFL forward who says his footy smarts such as leading patterns and creating space for himself are second to none in this draft class among forwards.

Looks like he was right.

Spectacular awesome mark. Another of our exciting young ones to be proud of.
And he has already signed a 12 month extension to his contract.

Good young player is Will & he is getting to learn as a senior footballer because he makes contributions at many contests, be it finishing his hard work off or by chasing & harassing which was critical in such a big game.

Hands off Punts he's mine!

5 tackles, 2 contested marks, 7 score involvements, including three goals and two goal assists. He should get the Rising Star nom this week

He won't though :(

He's incredibly intelligent the way he positions himself for a mark, just looks like a natural forward and is beyond his years. He'll be elite with a couple more preseasons under his belt.
