I told you guys this kid is a jet. Go have a look at my posts on pages 3,4 and 5 of this thread.

He's our only good ball user after Pendles and is the only other player apart from Pendles who can find any space out on the ground.

People were questioning paying a second round pick? FMD (but I'll wait until the end of the year to properly gloat!)

Future second round pick. Using net present value mathematics that makes him even cheaper

The real positive out of last night. Nearly won us the game. Apart from that one howler, he had a terrific game.

When he made that bad turnover at half forward, the pleasing thing is he ran the length of the ground at full pace to try and make up for it. He was the one on the goal line that nearly touched it. So it was good to see him not drop his head.

Just spewing I didn't back him in for my dream team!

Excellent game from WHE, showed what he can do, but his challenge has always been consistency. Although to be fair to him he has had a lot of injuries and this year was his first full pre season ever.

He was borderline best 22 at the start of the year, but has rocketed up the charts in the space of 2 games. This is a bit of s Steve Bradbury situation though as he hasn't got a lot of challengers for his spot anymore.

Isn't it amazing what happens when you target a player with Speed, Elite Disposal and a Quality set shot, he almost wins you the game.

Now imagine drafting or trading for another 6-8 players with similar qualities, then you have a finals team.

Instead we have a team of butchers.

Kudos to WHE.. love the kid, sorry that you've come to our shambles of a team.

Using Jarryd Blair's selection as the yard stick, that performance from Hoskin-Elliott has bought him games until the end of 2018 season. Un-droppable!

With the mess that is our forward line it's time to start playing WHE as a permenant forward.

For a start he's one of the only reliable kicks for goal we have and his speed on a lead is damn near impossible to stop.

Yes he can still have patches up the ground but in 2 games I reckon he's played about 20% of total game time inside forward 50. That should be the other away round, should be 80% inside the forward zone, and 20% out.

We need forwards, he's a forward, come on.

I think the way we are using him now is perfect. Limiting him to the forward line will take away his greatest asset - that run, also his use with kicks inside 50 are just about the best we have right now. Its struck me the importance of having the guy who can run forward of play into the empty zone for easy scores. Back in my day we called that cheating, today its a skill. Not that he is skimping defensively - he does run back as hard as he runs forward.

I think on the back of that game I think we say do that again WHE.

I don't think anyone ever doubted his talent, the real question is can he get through a full season after 5 years of constant injuries

Loved him.

Intelligent footballer.
Xfactor.
Speed.

Is that special taller hf talent we have been looking for.

Elliot Fasolo Hoskin-Elliott Moore.. now a big bodied FF type.. and perhaps Jeremy Howe who I'd love to see up forward.

That would make things really quite exciting to watch. Our mids would be frothing to get it in there.

He is best 22 and will be at the Pies for 5 plus seasons. Mayne and Wells will both be gone in a few years and the jury is well and truly out on Schade
true that.... btw why do we keep chanting Best 22, Best 22 ? the reason Hawthorn/Geelong/West Coast have been up so long is that they chant Best 28, Best 28...

West Coast the side that has made one grand final and have won one spoon in the last 10 years? Depth is important but everyone has there players that are guaranteed starters and that will be Hoskin-Elliott at Collingwood
