Poor bugger. Tea leaves aren't promising despite his talent.

Both collar bones? Was hoping it was just whiplash but no doubt he somehow broke both sides of the collarbone.
Both collar bones?
Keep on the track for a couple of years and then bring him out when his body matures.Getting nightmares of Sean Rusling all over again with this bloke
Was same in his Old NumberI knew it was risky posting that
No one ever says "he hurt one of his collar bones" do they!
And what purpose would that serve? None, only way to condition your body to take a hit is by taking a hit. Pumping iron in the gym wouldn’t of saved his elbow or collar boneKeep on the track for a couple of years and then bring him out when his body matures.
A bit like cheese.Keep on the track for a couple of years and then bring him out when his body matures.
Just bone breaks and the dislocated elbow. Bad luck injuries, no longer term implications and doesnt make him prone. He will be back later in season and be fineKeep on the track for a couple of years and then bring him out when his body matures.
Only thing you could do is get the dietitian to do a review of his diet see if they can increase the calcium intake and decrease sodiumJust bone breaks and the dislocated elbow. Bad luck injuries, no longer term implications and doesnt make him prone. He will be back later in season and be fine
Didn't he also tear his hammy completely to start off?Just bone breaks and the dislocated elbow. Bad luck injuries, no longer term implications and doesnt make him prone. He will be back later in season and be fine
No that wont make any difference. He has young strong bones and even if he didnt you are not going to change that substantially by just adding calcium to the dietOnly thing you could do is get the dietitian to do a review of his diet see if they can increase the calcium intake and decrease sodium
That’s why I said do a review. Look he may have more than adequate amounts and not need any changes. That’s fine but having a look at it won’t hurtNo that wont make any difference. It wont hurt but it cant achieve anything eitherThat’s why I said do a review. Look he may have more than adequate amounts and not need any changes. That’s fine but having a look at it won’t hurt
End the thread now mods, this tool has it all sorted.Won't make it...almost comical wears number 20.
Thanks for the compliment...End the thread now mods, this tool has it all sorted.
That knee would have broken the collar bone of any player in the league Dave.Worry about the Kids as looks to be made of Glass
Don't really know anything about bones, but doesn't your body including bones become stronger and denser during your twenties, until its begins a gradual decline. I always think of stress fractures for example as being an injury most common of early youth. And what purpose would that serve? None, only way to condition your body to take a hit is by taking a hit. Pumping weights will do nothing to help his bones. Yeah when you train older people you get them lifting weight as the added tension from the increased muscle mass helps keep their bones strong but that’s when you are moving into old ageDon't really know anything about bones, but doesn't your body including bones become stronger and denser during your twenties, until its begins a gradual decline. While maximum bone density is reached about mid 20's the difference from late teens isnt clinically significant. Normal young bones dont break because of mineral lack. Think of young bones being more like a green branch that creases and splits when broken (greenstick fracture in kids) where as old bones snap like a dried branch as they become brittle. If old bone lose calcium also (osteoporosis) they break with minimal trauma. There does seem to be some athletes more prone to breaks. Is that more due to technique in contests than bone strength? Or just luck? While maximum bone density is reached about mid 20's the difference from late teens isnt clinically significant. Normal young bones dont break because of mineral lack. What we saw last night was major trauma that applied to any collarbone would break it. Will advantage is his young bones will heal more quickly that older peoples. The 2 breaks he has are from major trauma , they are not evidence of a tendency to break bones, just bad luck.
