Think Clarko has found the spot for him. Mid-high half forward who has intensity around the ball and can tackle. Yes he's field kicking as let him down in the past but it's a fault that seems better hidden playing up forward. Another Clarko master stroke in the making.
I have actually liked some of his field kicking recently. Might have improved.

I stress - "some"

I think his field kicking has improved a tiny bit, some of his weighting of kicks in particular; however his set shot kicking is the worst I have ever seen, I cannot understand a) how someone can kick that badly at AFL level, and b) how they show zero signs of improvement or change...

We know he can take a good set shot. He seems to lack so much confidence right now in that area, but it will pass. He and Doc have been great in that forward line, what we're really missing is another high marking target.

A few weeks ago, Burton leapt for a mark but didn't get to the ball. On the replay: the leap - my oh my it was huge. I believe we'll see him in the forward line, we just need one more tall to return down back. Burton/O'Brien in the forward line, we'll see it next year.

He also doesn't seem that disappointed when he misses sitters, just smiles like it is expected.

I agree, I would suggest he is the worst set shot kick at goal I've ever seen [other than ruckman in the ol' days who were never expected to kick a goal - maybe Fitzroy's James Manson springs to mind]. I know I have a small post count, but I have been watching AFL regularly since 1993. Whenever he has a set shot kick regardless of proximity to goal surely some other player should be running past looking for a handball.

Well you haven't been watching closely because at one stage Langford was an excellent set shot, it's definitely a form thing. He had a period where he nailed them consistently.

While it's amazing and great that we won the three peat I couldn't help but spare a thought for will Langford... From hero to zero... I noticed he didn't seem to be at the ground with the other guys I saw Spang but not langers.. Correct me if I'm wrong though... Just really feel for the guy I only can hope they can turn him around at the club ... I reckon he's a good kid... I hope 2016 is his year!!
Bigton you rat, where have you been hiding? You must be enjoying this season.

If only some "senior" players were held to the same standards of some of our younger players, Langford types and of course Ty Vickery.

We really have a lot of closet Richmond fans here. Probably would still be if we hadn't won so many flags recently!

And 1 goal 4 Luke Breust?

7 goals 11 Isaac Smith?

7 goals 7 Liam Shiels?

you mean 24.14 Luke Breust who before an off day in front of goals was 23.10? yeah good comparison......

he's still going at 63% for the year which is down for him but better than most

Punky does dish the responsibility off a lot of the time.

There has been multiple times this year where he needed to kick a goal and cost us by trying to dish it off. He is a forward and he needs to take it on. He also misses a lot of crucial goals under pressure late in games .

Cost us two games. The same two games Langford also kicked very poorly for goal in.

Langford can have 2 poor kicks and the haters are foaming.

Notice you didn't comment on the other two and as a mod are happy to support a poster calling a kid a spud.

I took exception to you comparing one game of Breust to season stats for Shiels and Smith like it was proof he can't kick straight

Smith has not been accurate in front of goals for a while now unfortunately, Shiels never has and Langer's isn't accurate either

I'm not a fan of bagging players, I'm also not a fan of bullshit stats
