Title preety much explains itself.
Lloyd seems to be slowing down in what has been a terrific career. Will he ever slot the big 1000th goal? He currently sits on 852 at 30 years old. Another question that could be asked is if he will reach 300 games. He currently sits on 239, which means he would need about 3 more good season in him.

Personally I think he will make both milestones.

I think he will miss out on the 1000 goals, lucky to get another 100 (will retire end of next year no doubt). He may get to 300 games, I think he will just miss out, 239 + 13 (games left in 2008) + 22 = 274 games.

Won't get both, sadly.

He will probably retire at the end of 2010 so thats 50-60 games to kick 148 goals. He can do it. He'll get there.

I also think that Scotty Lucas can make it to 500 goals which would be a really good achievement.

i think so. he said he wants to stay until essendon are in a good shape which will probably be another 2 or 3 seasons..
people think his form is really bad now but he is still averaging just under 3 goals a game this seasons with shocking delivery... over the next few years the delivery will get a hell of a lot better with myers, houli, jetta possibly rich slotting it to him...

if he stays at his current rate he will still kick 60 goals this season... and if he does that for another 2.5 years he makes the 1000 mark..
if you watched lloyd this season he obviously still has it. is doing a great job imo in very hard conditions

it was obvious you werent an essendon supporter after reading yuor post. pretty much everything reported with lloydy indicates he will stay another 2 years at least

for exampe in his last interveiw he said he wants to leave essendon when they are in a great position on feild.. thats probably another 2-3 years away and he would know that.

imo he will play another 2 seasons after this year possibly three. fletcher will retire end of this year or most likely end of next year and lucas probably a year before lloydy..

lloyd will make both imo, once he gets better supply his goal tally each year will increase. he is on what 852 goals now? say he kicks another 40 which is what his average suggests. that means he will end with 892 goals by the end of the year. another two years should get him well above 1000 goals... in terms of games i guess in depends on injuries he will get close

your guys would have to give him some more ball & he would have to stay on the park.

pending both of those things, i dont see why he couldnt provding he plays in 2010.

would be a great achievement, and if he does get there, he could be the last to do it, sadly.

Lloydy's 1000th goal will be in his 294th game - Round 20 2010. He will kick it at the MCG, City end after the final siren to beat Carlton - who incidently will still be reeling after the shock retirement of Chris Judd & the 8 goal performance from Josh Kennedy & BOG performance of Masten against them the week before.

Lloyd's 300th game will be in the 2010 GF. I won't tell you who wins though - don't want to ruin the suprise.;)

The powerball number that night will be 18.

What about Richo, he would have a chance wouldn't he?

I was positive he would a couple of years ago he would, now I'm not so sure. Our hideous midfield can't get him the damn ball.

I'm with you RIG. I used think it was an absolute lock a few years back but now it is starting to look a 50/50 at best. He deserves it though. Hopefully our Mid can improve and start to get him some decent supply. He is still unstoppable one out but it's a matter of getting it to him quickly enough.

A couple of years ago, before his hamstring injury, he was probably set for about 1,200 goals - but that injury not only took 20 odd games & 80 odd goals off him but has restricted his output since.

he will shit it in........what has 852 goals now?hes averaging 3 this year in a crap side so not bad.......should end the year on about 900 barring injury.....so id imagine he will bring it up sometime in 2010....and u watch the clowns that will come out and bag him.....hes a champion and has been for a long time, people just knock him coz what he doesnt speak the best or what has a few bad games......great player simple as that

He's probably got 2-3 years of footy left in him so it'll be tough for him to get either milestone.

Hopefully once our side improves a bit we will be able to give him some decent delievery

It was obvious from seeing the word "Brisbane" under his avatar that he wasn't an Essendon fan;)
