Will North rise above 18th?

How bad do we need to be to get a priority pick?
If we win less than 4 games, coupled with finishing 17th last year on 3 wins, and just percentage from winning the spoon, is that a reasonable option?

Would love to the the #1 and #2 pick next year, as we have (deliberately) lost a lot of depth by getting rid of so many players, and look like we will struggle for some time.

Was the port of 2011 who lost to gold coast and lost 3 games in a row by 130+ and was on the verge of folding better than this North side?
Ports issues were the SANFL controlling them.
North are architects of their own demise.

if Josh Bruce kicks 10 goals on your team you should be automatically banished from the league.

In all honesty though what killed North was a few years ago when Brad Scott thought North were a premiership chance and they focused on topping up with experienced players and ignored the youth. Not knowing where you are as a club has made a lot of clubs to make really bad decisions.
Geelong has the same strategy and there's similarities in that some of the youth are unsighted but remains to be seen if they fall off the cliff. The Sean Higgins effect.

% of 37 after round 3. Is this a record low?

I expect Carlton to win against Freo but GWS and Essendon to remain winless. With % so low the Roos can probably only climb off the bottom by notching (fluking?) a win before those two.

Why us? We didn't even get the spoon that year.

Also Melbourne 186
186 Melbourne would have beaten 2013 Melbourne by 15 goals.

2013 Melbourne is the comparison for modern shitness.

This will inevitably become the question.

I think North are probably in bad enough shape to justify a PP at the end of the first round.

If you knowingly gut your own list by forcing out all the mature players you can't then turn around and plead for a PP. Its also ludicrous to even suggest it at round 3.

Its a long season and we saw a team like Adelaide winless for nearly all of last year before they won 3 later on and this year they are looking competitive early.
