I can't respond how I'd like but the Darling replacement shouldn't be too hard to attract, we might even have already in Ayden (the forward part).

Obviously keeping Zane should be the priority! Is it that hard to make an informed decision on him? Hopefully the kid gets some time which he needs as **** it, what have we to lose?

Delist 5 take 3 (if the AFL pulls the pin)

-Bergman
-K Dawson
-Tucker
-Teakle
-Ford

KISS principle this off-season, spew a few times, go - push for finals in 2026.

Ford clearly has some ability. What's happened to him this year?

I had high hopes for both he and Josh Goater. Poor Goats has been cruelled by unfortunate injuries though.

Dropped this week and not even replaced with a midfielder. Writing is on the wall at North.

I'm such a massive supporter of Will Phillips' so I'm extremely frustrated at how our club has mismanaged him. I think he can easily cement himself as a solid best 22 midfielder in another team. So... whichever team gets him, congratulations you're getting a genuinely talented inside midfielder for dirt cheap.

I'm interested as a fan of a team that needs midfield help but it's this an opportunity for someone like Melbourne to refresh their midfield mix?

If he was a genuinely talented inside mid he'd be best 22 by now for one of the worst teams in VFL/AFL history.

2020 was a disaster draft and he's one of the many names.

Anything happening with this kid ?
Could be his last chance to make a career to move as he simply doesn't fit North/Clarkson model
if he doesnt get traded maybe a move to a lower league for a year or 2 and get confidence and a position set and try again

I regularly watch north’s vfl games and I still think there’s a salvageable afl player there.

Two bouts of glandular fever has stuffed his tank for years (still not quite there for an afl best 22). He has also become very reactive as a midfielder, preferring to clamp down first rather than be on the move at stoppages or spread to the outside (part tank, part coaching, part confidence). Not the biggest kick or the quickest, but I don’t think he’s slow. He kind of hovers stoppage to stoppage.

Always does the team stuff, is clean at stoppages, defensively strong, has always been a good kick and his inside fifty entries are better than most. Good leadership traits too.

I think he needs a new start somewhere else. Not worth much in a trade.

Or he could be like Josh Kennedy and didnt really get a crack at it until he left Hawthorn for the Swans and got that opportunity. Became a very, very good inside midfielder at the right club.

Two bouts of glandular fever was not helpful.

Lol I don't think you can seriously compare the two. One was stuck behind future HOF players in a threepeat. The other is stuck behind midfielders who can barely get their club beyond the bottom three.

JPK was a huge midfielder who was killing it at VFL level.

Will is a small mid who isn't exactly killing it in the 2s.

Glandular fever hasn't helped but I also think the real problem is he just isn't a very good player.

on what evidence?

he has played 50 games and been extremely underwhelming.

doesnt exactly shoot the lights out at the lower level.

which midfield in the afl does he get games in?

North picked up mids that were essentially the same type. Phillips 1 of those hence he cant get in. I bet he'll still be a solid mid in the end. Just get him out of North.
