The contenders this year are...
Casey - Beat the Boroughs at Casey on Sunday... a strong chance, but that's if Melbourne doesn't pull out their players (they did that a few years back).
Werribee - When they are going, they are red hot... but equally can throw is some unexplained shockers.
Bendigo - Essendon listed players driving their success. *if* Essendon bomb out of the AFL finals early, it will be interesting to see if they pull their players out... consider the alignment ends at the end of the season.
Sandringham - Gave Port Melbourne a scare at North Port Oval. Dropped some important games at home though.
Geelong - Tracking along nicely and beat Port Melbourne a few weeks ago.

Port have been struggling lately and dropped matches to Williamstown and North Ballarat. Werribee and Geelong are my favorites to win it with Casey an outside chance.
I hear that Dywer is out for the rest of season so he will be a big blow.

I've seen Sandy against every other side this year...
We got thumped twice...once by Werribee and once by Williamstown....
We beat Bendigo twice...ran Port close...and got veruy close to Casey twice
On what I've seen of the other teams, my tip for the flag is Werribee...with Willy the next favourite...won't write Port Melbourne off but Werribee really did look good when they beat us.
Plus Nathan Ablett and Travis Tuck might be fit for the final after getting through the reserves game at Sandy yesterday
I've most probably put the mozz on Werribee now as my tipping prowress is average...very average
