Carlton look like a team revived under interim coach David Teague and Will Setterfield is one of the players reaping the rewards. After playing two games in his debut season with the Giants and missing 2018 through injury, Setterfield has found form since crossing to the Blues last year, playing 14 of a possible 19 games in 2019.

Against Adelaide, Setterfield had 24 touches and seven inside-50s as Carlton won three games in a row for the first time since 2016.

Setters is a gun. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, when we “lost” Shiel last year to the bombers*, I wasn’t upset at all. Firstly, he isn’t worth 2 first rounders at all. Secondly, we got Setterfield. He is going to be a star, just you wait and see. He’s young. He’s raw. But he has talent to burn and he chose us. I cannot wait to see what he will be like in 2 to 3 years time once he starts filling out.

I feel dirty for suggesting he spend a couple of weeks in the twos earlier in the year.

He was unbelievable on Saturday.

As others have said, you can see him improving from week to week. It's not just his numbers going up either, the improvement is obvious as you watch him play live. He's really starting to stand out from the other 43 guys on the field.

I didn't watch the GC game but anytime a first year key forward kicks 4 goals it's not going to go unnoticed and at worst it's a close decision rather than a shocker.

How smart SOS now. Everybody had one chance to raid the GWS box of riches that he put it together in the first place.
Easy to pick Trealor ,Adams, Shiel etc but you had to give up plenty.

it will be interesting how sos goes now. The easily identified holes in our list have been more or less plugged. Now it gets trickier- he has to be more targeted and that may prove harder than we think. Hopefully not
