The two sides that won qualifying finals in week one are through to the grannie. Business as usual. It'll stay.

I just think the AFL needs to have something on during the bye - perhaps they could hold the Brownlow Medal on the eve of the finals (say the Saturday night) instead of on the Monday of the eve of the GF. I'm sure it would be less of a distraction at the end of the home & away than pre GF to the winner, if playing in the GF, eg Martin should he win it?

But what can be said now if they lose is, they didn't prepare properly.
Yeah, that's more accurate.

If the next, say, ten years result in teams from the SF beating the teams who had the week off, then 2017 would be an outlier. (won't happen obviously).
