Clarko has the best strike rate of any current coach though, if the players think hes extending he's a great chance to snag a couple more before he retires

Hes still the biggest selling point for the club
Absolutely agree :thumbsu:

In the context of Lynch's next 6 years what separates these clubs:
1 has a premiership in the last 12 months, looks as solid as ever, and former teammate Prestia.
1 has a proven coach and former teammate O'Meara. Is the coach going to stick around past 2020 though?
1 has a promising list and he could be the catalyst for turning it into a premiership one.

These are factors that come to mind for me. Theres bound to be other factors at play but I could understand why he might pick either 3. Hope he chooses us.
The bolded just made me laugh.:p
That's that fruit cake of a club that's was in the wilderness for 35 years right? Solid as ever?
They've held their preverbial together for 18 months. Let's not pretend they're the paragon of reliability as a club or memberhsip.

Solid....chuckle.:drunk:

If Lynch was the only target then I firmly believe we’d get him. But he isnt, we are desperate for a gun mid.
This could come down to choice of:
Tom Lynch
Or
Sloane and MM
Surely if Rioli retires we actually have the cap space for 2 key additions ? Should we be able to convince to players to want to join us that is.

If that's the case they'd be driving him to the airport and making damn sure he gets on the flight.
Even if they don’t end up with the pick at the end of the first round a second dip at the top 5 talent in this draft is not something that they’ll turn their back on in the hope that they can get pick 12 and 15 in a trade(again, this is going to be much harder this year. Clubs won’t be handing over 1st rounders for nix).

If they DO turn their back on the compo and match, then we should laugh at them eternally.

Where are the Sloane rumours coming from?
Tom Morris said he's more likely at Hawthorn than Adelaide next year. You know how these things work; if they favour your team you believe them and if they don't you dismiss it as just another rumour

Good question. Has not re signed. Wife is pregnant and they are both from Victoria. Smoke and fire or hypothetical???
Smoke & Fire? Haven’t heard that one.

I prefer Denis Commetti from the 2014 GF: “Where there’s smoke, there’s Brian!”

If Mitch McGovern leaves Adelaide and ends up nominating Hawthorn, my biggest fear is Adelaide will ask for you know who in exchange.
We’ve already had an extremely reliable source tell us in here that he has no intentions of leaving & that he hates Crows

“The Hawks, who are a potential bidder for another major free agent, Adelaide’s Rory Sloane, are believed to be in a position to pursue only one player on that scale of money – $800,000-plus per season – given the contracts for next year and beyond.

While the Hawks have lost club greats Luke Hodge, Sam Mitchell and Jordan Lewis and have other veterans on their list, they do not have highly paid senior players on their list coming out of contract this year and while they can create space for one major signing, they are not in the position of North Melbourne, which was able to offer $1 million-plus deals to both Dustin Martin and Giant Josh Kelly last year.”

Fails to mention burgoyne and rioli possibly moving on, with Birchall another name I’ve heard. We all know the cash will be there.
