Hmm hard to say this but I have just been told we have an A Grader lined up for next year and the media has hardly spoken about this player. Not sure what to make of it and no I am not revealing my source.
Love hearing stuff like this. Any hints on the player? Key position or mid?

Interesting, as Topiary has alluded to this being in play, which will impact what we do this year.

Got me thinking about Jared Polec as I know we have looked at this bloke in the past but not sure he is A Grader is he????

I was told this player will be in play this trade period for us.

If it was to be coniglio for example our first pick plus more would be gone if it was him we were trying to get why he was contracted.
I would be ok with this, the kids I rate will most likely be gone by our 1st pick. Coniglio is worth 2 first round picks.

Cogs is worth 2x 1sts on talent, but not necessarily on circumstance.

FA next year & the last thing they need is more 1st Round Draft Picks.

They need to shed salary & bring in some role-players with value, that also develop their culture.

One of their best players in the first 10 rounds was the delisted guy from Freo because he plays his role & tries his guts out, all for $250k. They need 3x more of these & to shed $1m or they'll lose Shiel / Whitfield / Kelly types when they become FA.

We probably need to use a 1st round pick this year or next which probably rules out Cogs. Maybe we go to the draft this year and trade out next year for a Taranto type of player in 2019 when the Giant squeeze is on.

So, are tigers looking to trade out Rance or Cotchin or Dusty or Edwards or Jack Roo ?? How about that Prestia bloke sitting on the sidelines since he’s arrived at 700 clicks per season? Are they retiring one or two of those players?
Can’t see how tigers or pies fit Lynch in . Unless they lose some really high end talent.
Really? People were rubbishing their list even after they won the grand final - Richmond wouldn’t have cap issues.

My take- Tigers have 6 players eating up 5 mill of the cap

Dusty 1.2
Cotchin 850
Rance 850
Riewoldt 800
Prestia 700
Caddy 500

and the remaing 35 sharing the other 5.5.

They will feel the squeeze big time should they add another 1.2 in the form of Tom Lynch

Yeah Richmond are paying a large portion of their cap to the top end talent.

Riewoldt, Cotch and Rance signed in 2015 under the old cap so very much doubt they’re on $800-850k - probably in the $600-700 range at best.

Don’t doubt the squeeze will come for Richmond at some stage - and the three players mentioned above are all of contract in 2019 I believe.

Still don’t think they’d struggle fitting Lynch under the cap at present.
