Not sure if this is the right thread for it, or if it has already been said but I think we should go all in on J McGovern and then release Sicily into the midfield. Thoughts?

Given how easy Tony Cochrane made the JOM deal, i can't wait to see how he tackles the Lynch situation.

If what you say has any substance we'll be selling the farm, possibly the title to Dingley, the City of Launceston and what remains of Waverley Park.
In layman’s terms, plenty of Vaseline and a barge pole that can bend to the size of a 5c piece is going to come in handy.

In terms of salary and contract length, what deal would Lynch likely be offered? He may take into consideration clubs with good medicos or who are in the premiership window.
If he receives offers in excess of $1mill then I think we are out of the race - Clarko has said on many occasions that this is not the model we follow.

If Lynch was the only addition to our side, would that catapult us to premiership contention in 2019? I don't think so. Reckon we're miles off.

The plan better be bigger than just Lynch, otherwise we need to find a way to get more talent in
We have as many wins a the Tigers had this time last year.

Big fish has not been the clubs mo for a while now.

Lake or burgoyne our biggest and Neither was really lauded but that could just be bf trolling
Huh? Frawley at the time was a big fish and was in demand. Jaeger was definitely a big fish despite his injury issues. Tom Mitchell was a big fish.

Maybe I’m just sensitive to bigfooty but those three have been denigrated to hell in bigfooty and media once linked to the Hawks.

Even now there seems to be a campaign against Tom Mitchell as a mere ‘stat getter’ even though the last few Brownlow medallist’s (and media darlings) have been just that

Might be a Bigfooty thing then. I remember someone in the media practically throwing a tantrum when we were heavily favoured to get O'Meara and Mitchell.

Interesting stat I heard yesterday, that of the 9 games this year Tom has polled 40+ possessions, we've won only 2 of those games.

He's certainly our best midfielder, but it shows when we rely on him only, we fall apart.

We used to have the widest variations in centre square set-ups. How is that now I wonder? Maybe the main players are being given more time to ‘gel’

Martin, Dangerfield and Fyfe are mere stat getters?

Dangerfield Fyfe and priddis have clear flaws in this game (hint it’s called FOOTball)

This is not a critique of players just an observation how judges and observers vary their criteria to fit their agenda at any particular time

Think the amazing part of that stat was that when he's gotten under 30 disposals, we've won 2 out of 3. Hence needing others to step up and spread the load is more effective

There was about 5 clubs supporters falling over themselves to post that JOM would be open to joining them, that he had huge upside if he could get over his injuries and that he would be a good get....until he named Hawthorn as his desired home, and then he became a broken down has-been with no future.

Almost the same thing for Mitchell. Ball magnet, fantastic mid with a big future....until he named Hawthorn.

to be fair I don't think it would have mattered who they picked, two thirds of big footy would have turned on them immediately based on which team they went to (ie not that posters team)

Oh, didn't see that one. I was referring to the movement of posts from the big fish thread to the list management thread.
Well yeah, 52 posts in total all arguing whether Henderson/Langford/Miles should be kept.....not really what I want to read when I see notifications for the big fish thread.

I’m sure I wasn’t alone. :D
