Lynch deal to Tigers done.

Gaff being offered 1 mill per year.... Hawks will not go anywhere near that.

Polec 700k per year x 5 years... gulp. Good luck Norf.

Not sure who is left. Perhaps we might sit back, keep clearing more and more space and have a red hot dip at Shiel and Kelly next year.
Hope not. No guarantee things are any better next year (we said the same thing last season) and we have to meet the minimum cap regardless.

We do need to remember that Hawthorn's huge involvement in trade week and ability to attract great players for a few years there is not the norm.

With that said, I hope we are still going hard at the likes of Lynch and even Gaff. Jeremy McGovern is another option not mentioned that I hope we pursue.

Clarko now non committal on Roughy next year. Could have got the tap on the shoulder should we be lining Lynch up.
Was this in the pre-match presser?

This is after Crawf poured doubt on Rough and Birchall going around next year but giving Burgoyne the nod. Interesting. Not that Crawf is involved in our list decisions - but you think he'd have a tiny bit of inside word.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Birchall retires.

Don't want to see Rough at another club.

Bushrangers, Kings,
Rough will be big enough to cut a deal and move on/retire I think.

You only need to look at him on the field and he seems frustrated and angry he can’t influence games like he once did.

Birch has not had a kick in 2 years and Jack tells us he has started doing ball work and we might see him later in the season ‍♂️. Thank him for his service, cut a deal and free up the cash ASAP.

I would keep Burger for 1 more year which means we would have over 2 mill freed up from retirements plus all of our own free free agents and players out of contract.....

Spoken like it's fact but really, who knows?

Rough would be MORE of a necessity if Lynch was headed to Hawthorn

There is no chance in hell we move him on because Lynch is coming

I can’t see Lynch picking us anyway
