Geelong received pick 14, 24, 37 and what is looking like a top 5 pick in 2020. As well as signing him to a 5 million dollar deal. It’s very early days. But it’s hard to justify trading 4 early draft picks for one player. He looks like a shell of the player he was now he’s surrounded by flakey midfielders. Could this go down as one of the worst trades in history?

Way to early to be writing off a guy who has been one of the best players in the competition over the last couple of years.

Also pick 24 and 37 are particularly high picks.

Huge amount to be played out on this one.

We'd need to see what we get from the draft. It's not a usual draft year either given the lack of an u18 comp this year, so we may not be able to get the same return from it as usual. It's a weird season, so I wouldn't be drawing any significant conclusions from it after just a few games, and he has plenty more time to prove his worth.

It's too early to tell but from the start I hated what the Eagles gave up for him, he's an outside player he's not a player you can build a team around.

If we were talking about Martin, Danger, Rowell sure it worth it but, but not for Kelly.

He's probably the furthest thing from an outside player. He's capable of both inside/outside, but he's at his best winning his own ball. Ridiculously clean, one-touch pickups and moves forward the instant he gets the ball. Only real downside is his kicking is iffy. Needs more time.
