Going to take a stab in the dark and say.. yes, and it will be Gold Coast.

Remember in the late 90's when Brisbane were cactus? The AFL pumped them up hard.. too hard.. huge salary cap relief, literally an entire team of star players for years. The concessions that were given simply made them too strong.

I can see Gold Coast going down that path. The AFL will give them whatever they need to win premierships. They will win 3 in a row, then the AFL will freak out, remove all the concessions and they will fall back down to being total garbage again... just like Brisbane. You can't buy a soul.

Because the talent is so diluted when the next team get it spot on there is every chance they will dominate for an extended period.
