I think it will have to benefit the Bombers. I can't see him coming out and playing a blinder after all the excitment this week and he could get a bit cocky, although from what I have seen I don't think that will happen.

But it could go their way as this might be what they need, take their minds of the GF for a few days and play it like the last 11 weeks like just another game.

What does everyone think????

i dont think it will have an effect on the team, maybe woewodin himself but thats about it.
history says it will effect melbourne
blight lost a gf the year he won
so did couch and robert harvey and im sure there has been others
wanganeen was able to win a flag in the year he won the brownlow but wanganeen was a special kind of person, and it was pretty hard to put him off his game

dont see it making a huge difference
but we'll see what happens

Wanganeen & Dipper are the only one I can recall from recent years who won the Brownlow and went onto to win the Premiership.

Wanganeen didn't do much in the 93 GF either considering. And Dipper says that the 86 GF was one of his worst games.

Most winners teams have lost - Harvey, Couch, Platten, Blight & Moore in the past 20 years.

Read into that what you will.

I dont think it will bother either team if anything it will even it up a little. All the pressure is on the dons cos there expected to win the GF, but now the Demons have the best player from the last year in their side so now i think alot of pressure is on Woewodin. If Woewodin cracks and has a shocker the Dees midfield will fall to tatters and the Dons will run away with it.
Thats my two cents.

jod23,
Do you think that woewodin still would have won the brownlow if it was a 5,4,3,2,1 vote system or would kouta and buckley have picked up lower votes more often, even scott west would have been the 4th or 5th best on the ground more than woewodin was. the brownlow is not an accurate assesment of the best player because it is also a reflection of the fairest as well, other wise carey would have had one by now. It doesn't matter how good you are, if you give away heaps of frees and back the umps you'll never win it!
