Will your opinion of Carlton change if they dont win another game this year?

Carlton have simply become the butterboys of the AFL...they arnt worth worrying about either now or into the future. Carlton are the new StKilda.

Make things worse their fans are soft too. Most have forgotten how to win and the rest couldnt care less if they win a spoon or not. All they have left is hope.

Their problems are compounded by the stupidity of thinking they were actually hard done by with penalties after being caught blatantly rorting the system to gain an advantage. They feel they are owed something from the draft these days and have become committed losers.

Got no sympathy for their buttery soft club whatsoever. Their fans attitudes are simply a reflection of this softness.

LOL. Trolls always think that if something turns out to have merit then it is not a troll but just telling the truth. A troll doesn't have to be lacking in fact JD, it just has to have the intent of eliciting negative responses. If you want to deny, I can dig up the threads where you have admitted to trolling.
So what? Everyone on BF trolls, even YOU . . . the great objective ODN.

This board if I'm not mistaken is for opinions on all clubs. It is no surprise that moderators of the club board with the fastest trigger are the most precious on this board. You've even called out a fellow mod on this thread as a troll - I did that once and got infracted for doing it.

Running around calling everyone a troll that doesn't agree with you adds little to the debate.

Your fellow mod is one of the biggest trolls on this board. Every response from him is the mindless ". . . but your club" type of response. But hey, the objective  ODN would never call that out.

What is your opinion of Barry Zuckercorn?
I'd probably get banned if I posted it.

Barry is a Carlton supporter that uses multiple aliases. He poses as a St Kilda supporter so he can post 'parrot' type over the top posts for no other reason than encouraging trolls against St Kilda. I hardly see how such an obvious troll is relevant in this discussion.

That fact he hasn't been banned from this board and the fact YOU never call him out brings into question your objectivity (especially as a mod). You even put up with it on your "zero tolerance" board (one I might add I haven't been banned from either - rather ironic for such an obvious troll)

In fact ODN, have you EVER called out a Carlton troll on this board?

Do it just once and then talk to me about objectivity.

Re: Two former Carlton players high fiving after Essendon Goal on w/e.

Gleeson and Williams were sitting together at the game. Could've been them.

I can understand where they were coming from too. Whats the point winning a meaningless game if its going to cost us pick 1 in the national draft?

Gee, the blues are full of pride for their club.

Oi...we didn't cheat mate ;)

Re: Two former Carlton players high fiving after Essendon Goal on w/e.

Tell him to name them. If he is so adamant that he saw two former Carlton players high-fiving then he shouldn't have any worries in naming them.
Go on name them.

What are you talking about. All Carlton supporters were high fiving :p
No they weren't.

Prove me wrong.

lol. Opposition supporters even know you troll Carlton. What about when you admitted it JD? Does that just go away? Did you take it back again? :D

Which is why I don't call out stuff on Saints threads when Saints supporters are just defending themselves. I know you think that Carlton supporters should have no right of reply but I don't think that firing back at a troll is necessarily the same as being a troll. Troll have feelings too right?

I put what on my zero tolerance board? Oh yes, you have not been banned from the Carlton board. Why? Because your posting style is vastly different on that board which probably means you know you are not meeting the posted rules on the board and choose not to give an accurate representation of yourself on that board. If it was all honest debate JD, I dare say you would be posting the same constructive debates on that board. The fact you don't post the same stuff does not support you on the main board, it counts against you IMO.

In fact ODN, have you EVER called out a Carlton troll on this board?
Many times. Many times! Happy to wager on it though JD.

Do it just once and then talk to me about objectivity.
How much? I am prepared to do the searches in order to show you up and earn a buck.

I am not proud of Carlton supporters trolling, mostly because many of them go missing when we collectively get it back. They are in it for the laugh and do not care about the reputation of the club or the supporter base. I am not as concerned when they do it in a thread where Carlton are being kicked from pillar to post though. A troll elicits negative responses, when they get trolled in return on the same thread, they have got exactly what they were asking for, have they not? When a Carlton supporter starts a thread trolling another team, I regularly express my disapproval.

You talk about me trolling or another moderator trolling but then go and have a look at where it is happening. Do we start threads? Are we unprovoked within threads and decide to have some fun? Part of any good defence is the ability to use analogies. If those analogies are untrue then we have gone too far.

If someone started a thread trolling St Kilda JD, and your response was to fire back at Carlton, I shut up or I question both the thread and the response. Reason being is that the thread starter brought it on themselves. Fair game in my book. Can you say the same? I am a completely open book JD, anytime ... anywhere.

All hail the King of Carlton trollers.:p

The simple solution to all this "tanking" talk is to get rid of the draft completely. Its a socialist world that tries to even the playing field.

Lets get back to open slather recruiting - like it was pre 1986. No draft, no slary cap......

Lets let clubs recruit who the want and the highest bidder wins. Lets get back to rewarding success. That way all clubs can be happy - right?

its not fair, but get over it. the players are playing their hearts out. thats easy to see. if supporters (myself included) believe that this pick is likely the best thing for the future then that does not mean the players and or staff are in cohorts to achieve this. what about bannister/saddington/whitnall who are playing for their careers. DO you think they would let their teammates deliberately tank, sacrificing themselves.

another point. richmond would be spewing. they are struggling badly, and deserve another pick. but the only solution is no PPs and a weighted lottery for the bottom 8 in my opinion

no chance, kangaroos? how would melbourne clubs compete with the rich interstaters. and also the majority of players would stay in their home state

WA players to - freo and WCE
SA players to - adel and scum
vic players divided between 10 teams
SA players to

That's not necessary. Gaining an extra spot or two in the draft order is not really a big deal and I can't see clubs tanking for such a small benefit. The problem is the priority pick which creates a massive incentive for clubs not to win if they are on 4 wins late in the season.

If Carlton fails to win another game people will be up in arms claiming the tank, if they manage to eek out a win the wise folk of BF will laugh at them for throwing away a #1 pick on a dead rubber.

The importance of the issue is Carlton has only to please and serve its members and supporters while the opinion of the fat f**k behind the goals at Subiaco is as irrelevant as his existance.

Exactly.

Ratten is a poor coach. Simple as that.

The existence of a reverse draft has fuelled the myth of tanking. I cannot fathom that a group of players would risk their worth and career as a league player, by purposely playing poorly and losing matches.

There's no doubt that the societies which promote welfare will continue to attract negativity about their operation. The only competitions in the world whereby the concept of tanking is regularly brought up are those which incorporate the draft.

Get rid of the ridiculous draft and then Carlton's performance will be recognised for what it is - simply that of a poorly performing football team.

Essendon showed how much more advanced they are than Carlton in the two games between them this season. You idiot.

you support a poor excuse for a football club that couldnt even beat us, SIMPLE AS THAT

Pagan was sacked and Ratten appointed to ensure no more wins.

Good management.
