Williamstown rush a point. Sam Hunt kicked it out for Geelong after Stanleys point and it went to the centre circle then bounced to half forward.

Half Time

Cats: 8.7.55 - Ablett 3
Gulls: 8.9.57 - Rose 3, Picken 2.

Best
Cats: Ablett
Gulls: Anthony

Great game by NAblett. 23 possesions, 9 marks and 4 goals.

Other good players for the cats were Gardiner, Playfair and Davenport.

NAblett let slip at least half a dozen yeah nahs in that interview. Bloody great game though.

I hope we can pick Davenport up in the draft, another very good game from him.

Next week will be cracker. McCarthy better not come back, you can't drop Byrne, Davenport or Cook after the last two weeks!

They could drop an AFL listed player...don't know who they should drop. I think McCarthy would be handy to bring back, will give another option up forward and can go to defence if needed

I don't think they are allowed to play a VFL player over an AFl listed player. Of the 3 i would say Cook would be the first to go.

gotta give credit to the abc...they get some good interviews, thats the first time ive seen nablett speak and last week was a great talk with setanta from bullants

Nice to see he is actually getting some confidence up to stand in front of the media.

Also good to see him performing in finals games even if it is at VFL level and not AFL.

You don't really have much choice in the man of the match interviews, you'd look like an idiot if you turned down an iterview.

Ablett played really well and was clearly BOG we had no matchup on him. Pendlebury was very quiet in the first half but stepped up a fair bit. We had no key forwards apart from Lawry who was beaten by Playfair and Anthony was very good but let Kingsley slip away a few times when Geelong got on top. Cox is an interesting prospect. Lloyd was poor.

The problem is the ball magnets are pretty ordinary kicks. The best kicks are yakka and pendlebury who don't really damage you with their kicking. Nicholls was the most impressive player for Wlly.

Great performance by the Cats, and the Gulls were gallant in defeat. Nablett was sensational. He has had a fantastic couple of weeks.

Davenport looks good. Does some nice things.

How far is Macca away?

Not sure, only going by what Leigh Tudor said in an interview on ABC

Yeah, will be a hard choice as to why we will omit. Who do you reckon?

Grima was on crutches after the game yesterday but he is expected to play. Koula is in some doubt.

well of the 3 VFL players I think it would be Cook unfortunately. I would leave all 3 in but it can't happen...let's hope an AFL player who didn't do so good gets injured
