Yes. All those cases are from before 2015, when the penalty for a first offence was raised from two to four years.

They also all have funny names.

Can't see how, or why, Willie would get any kind of sentence reduction by reason of the length of time taken for an outcome. He stuffed up and will be given a sentence longer than time served. Any angst or mental injury he may have by reason of this taking an unreasonably long time simply won't come into the tribunal's reckoning.

Your guessing the same as everyone else is, you have no idea what will simply or not come into the tribunals reckoning.

Looking at what has actually been handed down 4 years is the mandatory sentence. A rare few have copped less.

This is what is likely holding things up imo. Its easy for WADA to simply apply a manditory sentence for evading or tampering. The problem is manditory sentencing always results in unfair outcomes at some point. The one penalty fits all circumstances eventually will delivery unfair outcomes.

Then add the current climate on racism and unfair outcomes. All of a sudden ASADA / WADA are demanding the maximum manditory penalty and the AFL are thinking 'thats not going to look good at all'........because under the circumstances its over kill.

So they delay...........hopefully negotiate a reasonable penalty.

Didn't need Ings input there - the SIA statement said exactly this.

Regardless of whether he can break the silence, it doesn't mean he should. Learn from essendon's fu**up - get the outcome sorted then run your mouth off about the process.

The Eagles have plenty of spinners to get one past the AFL. Play the mental stress on Willie, its real & bloody hard to justify.

I made a huge mistake, youtube suggested me 2018 Rioli highlights and now I'm very sad

You want highlight vids to make you sad?

Here.

26 touches, 1 goal, 3 marks, 10 tackles and 3 brownlow votes.

The weeks leading up to that game he had

21D, 8M, 1G, 6T <---- 9th AFL game
21D, 6M, 6T <----8th AFL game
22D, 3M, 3T <----- 7th AFL game
23D, 5M, 2G, 2T <----- 6th AFL game.

Swift was a very creative/dynamic player. None of our mids have come close to producing these overall numbers in their first season, let alone first 10 games.

Gaff was an absolute ball magnet once Woosha stopped playing him as the sub, he'd tick the box, but never put up more than 3 tackles in a game.

Took Sheed until his his 2nd season, 12th game to crack 20 touches.

Brayden's career disposal high is 15 touches, and that was back in 2018 in his first game.
O'Neils is 16 touches, he did that in his 2nd game.

The system needs a good shake up if the court (afl) have to negotiate with the prosecution ( asada) on an acceptable penalty.

No it isnt. If ASADA are demanding a manditory maximum and the AFL are pushing for a lessor penalty taking time is quite justifiable.

We just dont know what is going on.

I said the mental stress Willie is being put through is unacceptable.
IF the scenario you suggest is relevant, Willie & his manager should be inside the discussion, not locked out.

How do you know they aren't inside the discussion?

It's not like Willie or his manager or the AFL will come out and publically state "Hey everyone, sorry for the delay but ASADA are being pr!cks and are demanding the mandatory 4 years but we are working on getting this reduced. It's a tough situation but we are trying to get the best result we can."

Why would the AFL do that? That would inflame the situation and piss off ASADA and WADA.

It is easy to take a shot at the AFL for taking so long. If you just want a quick result then fine, 4 years bye bye career. Very easy for the AFL to just do that. Sure they will cop a bit of flak but they will just shift the blame onto Willie and ASADA.

The longer it takes IMO that means not 4 years.

He should have thought about that when he reached for the sports drink. It is up in lights as a standard 4 year suspension - advised to all top level or professional sportspeople.
Anything less than 4 is a win.
