Hey Guys,

For those questioning the ASADA testing protocol please refer to this guideline

"Once notified of selection for testing, the athlete must remain in direct observation of the DCO or Chaperone until the DCO is satisfied that the sample collection procedure is complete.
Any attempt to evade notification may result in an anti‑doping rule violation and a ban from sport."

"The athlete is required to thoroughly wash and dry their hands before providing a urine sample. They are also required to remove any clothing from the knees to the mid-torso and from the hands to the elbows.

The athlete is responsible for controlling their sample and keeping it in view of the DCO or Chaperone until it is sealed in a sample collection kit"

Was informed by some very excited lavenders at work this afternoon. What a disappointment. Haven’t seen them this happy in years.

Ok, why was there another fluid in the first instance then?

Maybe he spat in it? Or jerked off into the cup? Who knows. I would imagine they would still test that for banned substances but the sample would obviously have some differences to urine.

This is why none of this makes any sense!

If he's accidentally tampered with it - ie dropped a mint or jerked off just before, is that a lesser penalty?

If he's done it as a joke, is that a lesser penalty? Since he wasn't doing anything to hide illicit drugs or PEDs.

If he did infact tamper whilst ASADA workers were right there, is the ASADA representative fired for major incompetence seeing as they've managed to let a player tamper under their watch?

I'm just trying to work out how one of players can be suspended indefinitely based on a vague, inconclusive finding that took over 3 weeks to come up with and still requires further testing(not to mention the disruption to the team).

Granted, if he is guilty, then he should cop a hefty suspension but surely science dictates we get some answers a bit quicker than this. Over 3 weeks to determine that there is something wrong with a bit of piss? Mah pleesh, it's a ******* piss test ffs, we aren't trying to split the atom here.

No s**t. How do we know if asada isnt corrupt? Happens in all levels of society. Just need one twisted individual with a vendetta in a place of power. Who is watching asada to make sure they arnt cheating?
Need to jettison the tin foil hat. The best you can hope for is incompetence.

So surely it's a diluted sample? Sounds near impossible to tamper with during the sampling.

Fox Sports News 20 minutes ago giving commentary that “even though the Eagles’ previous culture issues were 15 years ago, it will be all dredged up again”

Saw the exact same one. Flicked on Fox Sports news, first sentence was “and what about the Eagles culture? That’s not for us to discuss now, but at a later date.” Then into the sentence you said.

Off. Scabs.

If he has been suspended immediately, it looks to me he has f**ked up big time. But we are only going to kill ourselves speculating about what has happened. We need to breath and come back in the next few days.

This is the standard procedure. We have to live with it.

Because it's the rules.

Which I don't mind - it just sucks when it's one of your own that's ****ed up

Lol I doubt he's tampered with it as a joke.

Maybe, the tester, noticed shenanigans, and reported it, as they should.
