They're talking about it on SEN with Derm and Bob.
The testers actually watch you give a sample - the mind boggles how he's tampered with it.
They watch but there’s some modesty there so for example Willie turns around. Then squirts out from a pre prepared bag then urinates into bowl after giving sample.

That’s just my guess.

If it was tampering (not a positive test) why wait until now to provisionally ban him? Surely they would have known as it happened?
Due process.

And that’s fair enough.

Amazing this whole matter didn’t leak earlier than today.

:D

SEN were very reluctant to go with the club/player on air despite “multiple sources” naming Rioli and only did so after this article:
Do you reckon if it was a Collingwood player they would have been reluctant or falling over themselves to put it on air?

If it were other hosts most certainly. Andy Maher, Bob Murphy and Dermott Brereton aren't the biggest Collingwood haters out there.

If this is processed on the 'Murray timeline', the results will be made public in about late 2026.

But its not funny, its a serious issue, with a four year suspension being touted in the media.

But I'm confused. Didnt GWS's Whitfield avoid a similar test, with the assistance of the one and only Gubby Allen? Why is that not as serious?

One of my favourite films!
Whitfield avoided the potential of a test and conspired with Gubby to do so. He was done under the illicit drug code for misconduct. Hell hath no fury like a girlfriend scorned.

2012 - Essendon relegated from finals after being the only AFL to be found guilty of a doping regime, yet keep their win/loss record across the season

2019 - Essendon make the finals for the third time since 2012 and are eliminated by the first club to play finals with a player who's provisionally suspended 1 week later resulting from a matter the game before

You can't make this s**t up!

Do you reckon if it was a Collingwood player they would have been reluctant or falling over themselves to put it on air?
Probably.

That it was a Rioli, was more the reason they were being extra careful. Rioli is a little sacred for many.

Unless he was worried about a second strike under the illicit drugs code? But far out, that would be irrational behaviour.

Hang on ..

... are illicit drugs code testing and ASADA testing done in the same context? (Ie: same testers, and any samples taken can / are tested for both?)
