Kinda - I guess you want your crumbers to be able to snag them from anywhere, but he does a damn good job as it is.

I love Willie more than anyone but it’s just an observation from watching the video is all

We do not need to rush him into midfeild role,

I would let him develope as small forward easing his role into midfield role If he shows promise on that area

There is nothing wrong with being a permanent small forward for a whole career either

It’s year one ....and we actually need his forward skills to be honest

Yep i agree. Nothing wrong with being an awesome forward for most of the game. For me his forward smarts are excellent for when the ball is bombed in and when our talls are being well held Willies is able to find a way through. What makes him a better prospect than most small forwards is he able to spend some time as a mid to help our mids get a chop out when needed.

7 touches 3 goals is just as important and valuable as 30 touches....

Goals in modern footy are worth gold. Its hard to score.

I just reckon he will he just as likely to get goals running I50 than he would playing deep. He’s more of a running player than a front and square crumber IMO

Rioli running and kicking the ball inside 50 is so beautiful to watch.

Reminds me of Kerr/Cousins with those deft kicks where they take something off it and just push the ball into space where the forwards should run to and is impossible to defend.

So many subtle angles with Rioli.

Luckily WCE had a few draft picks (52) before GWS in 2016. GWS were keen and kept a close eye on Willie but we just nabbed him before their draft pick (54). GWS ended up with Tianizi -a small forward from Murray Bushrangers instead.
Apparently they were very disappointed being so close in getting Rioli to their club said GWS recruiter Caruso

I enjoy Jetta's work at his best..what I mean't was how quickly Rioli slotted in and stood up (given his problems-personal and physical) compared to how long it's taken for Jetta to hit his stride.
Jetta still appears to have those half-hearted chase/tackle attempts, at times, not as often as before.
( could be wrong, happy to admit it if I am.)
Jetta has been a bit of a guardian for Rioli and I wondered if he had observed (taking notes) how quickly Rioli had settled in..and how hard he works.
Who knows maybe Rioli's work ethic has lifted Jetta?
