Rafa has shown he can beat federer on grass, next year he will beat federer. Anyone who understands anything about tennis would agree that rafa was the better player on the day.Tiebreaks depends on luck, rafa had a couple of unfortunate breaks in the tiebreak which helped fed through. Rafa should have won this in straight sets

Rafa >> Federer, don't care what anyone says. Rafa outplayed him today and should've won.

Next year Rafa, next year. :thumbsu: Nadal's hunting you down on your own turf Roger, look out. :)

for a 20 year old guy only playing his 2nd wimbledon, he has shown a hell lot that that fed did at this age.He will win wimbledon next year

He's proved no such thing. The only thing he's proved is that he's a danger to Federer on grass but still in the end couldn't get the job done. There is no such thing as luck and when the pressure was on, when the game was on the line, Federer stood tall like all true champions do.

he was the better player on the day.Look at the statistics. You dont believe tiebreaks are not a matter of luck? Anyone who understands anything about tennis will admit it. Bring on the hardcourts

Save yourself the headache. Anyone who knows anything about sport knows that you can't be "the better player on the day" and lose.

Nadal fans in here were claiming people weren't giving him the credit he deserved, and now they show their complete lack of class by doing the same thing to Federer.

You'd think Federer won all three sets through tie breaks the way you're going on

Great match from Nadal. In the end he just wasn't good enough. Got to admire the guy.

How many times did federer break nadal before the final set(except the first game of the match)? ??? answer... ZERO.Rafa was the better player, had more winners, less unforced errors. Federers serve worked wonders for him, but rafa was better on the ground

Actually he broke him in the first game of the match. But don't let facts get in the way of a good whing.

I wanted to take the high road here and show the class that Nadal fans seemingly lack. But the whinging in here is too immense.
