Only one of those I'd be lookin at is Moya over Henman

Maybe, but i think some of the others have a sniff.

Molik's footwork is garbage... especially on grass. She just lost to some British dud ranked 200 in the world during the week. I think her opponent has a chance.

Nadal might struggle early... he only just scraped past Kendrick (wr 200+) 2nd round last year. He'll probably win, but who knows.

Safin doesn't exactly have a love affair with the Wimbledon surface: :p

Q: Do you think you'll come back, or do you think you'll just give up on Wimbledon?

MARAT SAFIN: No, I give up on Wimbledon. Is definitely not the tournament for me. I give up on spending time on this courts. I give up on practicing before the tournament, just to prepare myself for better results. I hate. I hate this. I have to admit it. I'm not really enjoying playing on this courts. So I just, you know, come like other people - Friday, Saturday before the tournament. Practice a couple of days, then I play. I'm not gonna spend my time, not gonna waste my time on that knowing, though, that I will not play well.

I know it's just Marat being Marat, but the odds are juicy.

Baker's just some British wildcard. His opponent is ranked 130 places above him and should be hardened after battling through the tough qualifying rounds.

Querrey should win

Moya appears to be a lock. Has Henman even won a match this year?

Yeah, might be worth putting a tenna or so on De Voest. Marat doesnt like Wimbledon.

Moya should beat Henman, but you never know, Tim Henmans game plan is probably best suited to Grass out of all of the surfaces, and he has home ground support, he is also very unpredictable so I wouldn't say it is a dead cert, but Moya's odds are pretty hard to pass up.

Just wondering what the TV schedule is for tonight? I see that Channel 9 has it on after Footy Classified. Anyone know who they're showing? Cheers.

Federer vs. Gabashvili is the first match on Centre Court, starting at 1pm BST. Given that that is in 45 minutes it might already be over by the time coverage starts here!

Other first-up matches include Roddick vs. Gimelstob (Crt1) and Hingis vs. Cavaday (Crt2 - starts at 12pm BST).

DAY 1 REVIEW
Rain dominated most of the day with only a small number of matches being completed.

MENS
- Bad Light stopped Henman and Moya at 5-5 in the 5th set. Henman won the first before Moya claimed the next 2. Henman bounced back to win the 4th before rain intervened.
- Fededer and Roddick both sailed through without dropping a set.
- Gonzalez beat Ginepri in 4, while Haas and Ferrer the only other seeded players to complete their matches won in straight sets.
- There were no Aussie men in action.

WOMENS
- Henin and williams both shrugged of slow starts to win their second sets to love in their straight set wins.
- Martina Hingis survived a scare from 18 year old British wildcard Naomi Cavaday. The Brit ranked 232 held two match points in the 2nd set before Hingis rallied to win that set 7-5 and the last 6-0.
- Alicia molik defeated Anastasia Rodionova 6-3 6-2.
- All other seeded players progressed.

Pretty poor performance by Sam Stosur to be honest. She won, but it took her 3 sets against a deplorable opponent.

Igor Andreev is currently up against James Blake but is down a set. Cmon Igor! :thumbsu: I lost a lot of respect for Blake at the Aussie Open when he all but gave up against Gonzo and decided to throw in the towel.
