don;t you love seeing the brits getting excited about henman knowing it is going to end in heartbreak a few rounds later.

I think a brit going well is good for Wimbledon. It's a shame Murray, who is potentially the real deal when fit, isn't there.

i have a feeling Henman will last a round or two and i hope he does. Won't be a semi finalist of course but at its best his game is still enough on grass to trouble all but the best.

I know you like Hheyton on Lleyton but trolling the tennis board? If a straight sets win is a struggle then Federer struggled
Have a look at the numbers, Hewitt was pathetic, is not a top line player any more

Straight sets is straight sets...what else you want the bloke to do?
Um mayne play top quality, not so many mistakes, if he was so good he wouldn't have looked so ordinary against average opposition;)
Doesn't matter that it was straight sets, he was very ordinary

So every team should beat a Richmond or Melbourne by 10 goals or they are ordinary? 1st round match after a layoff , an opponent he hadnt played much against , I thought straight sets was about the best he could hope for

come on wayne can't let 3 break points slip. Up 1 set to 0 and 5-5 in the second gotta take one of the oppurtunities. Don't do what molik did sieze the oppurtunities.

Tim Henman lost the first set in a tie break.

Was 0-40 down in the current game but has it back at 40-40 now

6-7 (3-7) 3-4 is the current score.

On serve in the second set

Wayne Arthurs you are awesome! Wins over Robredo 6-3 7-6 6-3

What a way to go out, much better then the disappointing Aus Open. That's 5 matches in a row he's won!

timmy just about gone.what a shame for the brits.better luck next year.
seriously for those that have foxtel, don't know what you think but don't mind the commentary of josh eagle and wally masur whereas i know newcombe is a living legend but the commentary on channel nine just plain sucks.it is actually embarassing to listen to.

Hewitt did well today, that bloke he played against has some awesome shots, with some more practice he could do well.

Wayne Arthurs is on a dream run, and i hope he keeps it up. Would be fantastic to see him progress again.

Aussie men doing well so far. Hewitt and Arthurs winning second round, with Guccione 2 zip up against Davydenko. :thumbsu:

what are you smoking? he has never been a serve and volleyer, but he tries to volley on grass courts, a bit like Moya does.Look up on Lopez's stats on hardcourts for example, he has like 15 net approaches per match only.

Try 35 net approaches on hard courts.

And he definatly serve and volleyed last night... id say you owe ricketts an apology TP.

Lmao at TP.

How can you possibly call Rafa fed killer

Come back to me when Rafa beats Fed in an important match on any surface other than clay.

Unlucky Gooch, he choked again :(

I still have no idea how he managed to do that. I was watching it, and it just seemed that when he lost that third set (Davydenkos first set) he gave up, eventhough he still had the upper hand.

Although, credit where it is due, Davydenko was able to read Goochs serve much better, and his returns in the last two sets were near perfect.
